Hotel Place D’Armes was in terrible condition. AC did not work properly, it was dirty and the property is old and not well maintained. I booked this hotel because it was Michelin rated. Im not trusting Michelin anymore. We stayed one night because we arrived late and there was no chance to change the hotel. The staff was helpful on what they could do.

Very nice hotel facilities and rooms, and great location. Also, very nice ambience in this boutique hotel. Various lobby areas which is a very helpful feature. My only suggestion for improvement is the customer service. Some staff were very kind. But there was a general lack of attentiveness among most staff. Would have expected more at this high end boutique.

I've stayed here three times. I really like this hotel. It's comprised of a number of separate buildings that have all been connected. It's atmospheric and comfortable. I especially like the "living room" area that has a big TV and a pool table. There's also a great spa and restaurant. You couldn't ask for a better location in Old Montreal with lots of restaurants and bars around and easy access to Chinatown just down the hill and the Metro to go even farther.

Incredible location and wonderful staff.

Well they 2 wake up calls in 3 days and they also put through 2 charges after I left the hotel without my credit card being present. I am questioning those charges because I never charged anything to my room and I had the mini bar removed the first day. I was offered a couple of drinks my last night there and if the bartender who was drinking on duty while serving guests decide to charge me behind my back that is very poor ethics as well as guest service. To pull something so deceitful. I am not impressed with the service at all. Was not told about the roof top terrace until my last night but was unable to enjoy it as the hotel had a function up there and it was closed to guests. So needless to say that I will most definitely NOT be staying at the hotel Place d'Armes in the future and the will be now good word of mouth by myself if I am ever asked about the property. I have worked in the Hotel/ Restaurant Industry for 25 years and I have never done that to any guest of mine. So I am very disappointed in their customer service.

Hôtel was phenomenal. From the valet to the concierge, everyone was wonderful. The room was beautiful, very clean, and so relaxing. The in-room breakfast we ordered was great as well, and at most hotels, it isn’t. Will absolutely stay here again!

Great location, spacious room, furniture was old, couch was dirty. Bathroom was very large and clean.

The perfect place to stay if you want to explore Old Montreal….especially at night! Everything was only a few minutes of walking away and the view from the rooftop patio was so lovely. Highly recommend! :)

Everything about the hotel is great!!! Zero complaints about anything at all. You are also a few min walk to basically anything you need and want to see in the old port area.

This was my second time staying there , Diego at the front desk amazing service went above and beyond, he put me in the room I stayed when I first stayed at the hotel .

Excellent staff, good service and clean hotel, but property need more care and maintenance, we were in a junior suite room is two stories room or loft this is situated in building one, the entrance and elevator look like service entrance, the room the A/C very very old and unable to cool the room, not appropriate windows for a Hotel, not noice proof even very old Cristal quality in order to maintain the temperature inside the room comfortable, the blinds for the windows ( old and in bad situation or maintenance), we need a fan in order to sleep a little comfortable, well at the end my opinion is this Hotel is not 4 stars. In the bathroom the sink had an scratch, and the doors don’t have a proper closing, the mains doors( 2 ) in the dirt floor and in the second are not noise proof.

Loved the character of this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is awesome rooms were a little small, bathroom was very tight. There were 4 of us, but we didn’t spend much time in the room so it was ok. Would definitely go back!

For the most part everything was wonderful. The night staff went over and above to assist me. Everything in the room just felt ever so slightly like it could use a refresh. But the pillows were heavenly! They are right across from a bar that was really jumping which may be bothersome to some, but I had no issue with it. I had called to reception in the morning regarding a forgotten item, they said they would check to see if they had it and send housekeeping up. No one ever came. I would have preferred if someone had advised me they didn't have that item. Overall I would still return in a heartbeat. Lovely experience and I highly recommend.

This was the perfect location to see Notre Dame Basilica, and other places near Vieux Montreal, also the port area for the La Grande Roue (Ferris wheel). Very convenient and the jappnaise restaurant at the hotel was good. Enjoyed our stay. Also, the staff was very helpful.

Beautiful hotel very centrally located.

The hotel is conveniently located across from the Notre Dame Basilica and many excellent restaurants, all within walking distance. Located in old Montreal and within a 8 minute walk to the jazz festival venues. The staff is very friendly and speak English and French. If we travel to Montreal again this will be our hotel.

The check in staff was very cooperative and helped me check in early. The priority itself is we’ll last its prime and quite run down. The elevators are slow , dark and dingy. The quality of bedding is sub par. Overall an aged look and well past its prime. The location is great but nothing else really to recommend it.

Staff was excellent.
