I appreciate that this a "budget" hotel, and I have stayed here a few times before however the condition of the property continues to decline with little evidence of regular maintenance, the toilets outside the bar stunk of urine, there is litter all over the carpark and on the lawns, and the carvery (the only food option) ran out of main courses an hour before service ended. You only find this out after you have paid reception up front for the meal that isn't then available, so Tuna salad for me instead of Roast Pork. Will not be staying again.

The outside of the property is great. The rooms were equipped well but with low quality items and were not cleaned during the stay. The bar/restaurant leave everything to be desired, breakfast is painful and only carvery is available for dinner. The cleanliness levels were non-existent. There is so much potential but it falls short in almost every area.

The hotel is in need of some TLC for the rooms and other areas. The reception area has been maintained but the rooms need some work. Staff are helpful but

Absolutely shocking, check out time 10am, food was worst we’ve ever encountered at a hotel, frozen vegetables and completely flavorless. Staff uniforms were threadbare and unclean. Cutting grass outside of window since 8.30am. Wasn’t informed of early check out and when mentioned was informed by reception that I hardly expect them to inform every customer of check out time that that’s my responsibility. Overall very disappointed, hotel is so dated which is a pity as it has huge potential and nice grounds. Definitely need new staff not one positive encounter.

It was ok.

Reception looks great. Area / grounds look great but rooms were poor, not maintained and mattresses were extremely uncomfortable - worst by far I have ever stayed in. Cheap in price compared to other hotels but when you hardly sleep, I certainly would prefer to pay that little bit extra. Would not stay here again.

The outside appearance was beautiful

Only 4 leafs of loo paper for two of us Requested another one for the day never turned up. On the whole not a bad hotel for the price. Sometimes the small things matter

Ridiculously cheap room. Clean, functional, great value for money.

Stayed overnight, receptionist said about 2 words, no mention of breakfast etc. Hotel very tired, rooms tired. Next door neighbours very loud so didnt get any sleep. It was cheap...you get what you pay for!

We had to change rooms4 times because in one the lights were not working the second one the shower was faulty the 3rd ond had ant crawling over the bedcand slugs in the shower andvthe 4th one there was urine all over floor in the toilet it seems it was not cleaned at all so all in all it was a very bad experience and i woul advise poeple not to go there unless you want a cheap dirty hotel

Room was outdated, but comfy. It was next to the lift so very noisy throughout our stay. Reception check in staff weren't very helpful. Handed key cards and told room number, no instructions for breakfast or leasure club. Had to come back down and ask another staff member. When returning late back from football and friends, we had to walk past other guests smoking cannabis right outside the doorway with staff having no intention of moving them away from the doorway. Breakfast was nice, with a good selection. Few improvements and would be a great hotel to stay at.

We booked for a double room. I did not sleep well due to the mattresses being placed across which left a large crease across the middle of the bed….very uncomfortable.

Lovely hotel, rooms very clean everything that was needed but no room service on the second day. Think a bit under staffed this weekend. Beautiful grounds to enjoy but again a wee bit cleaning of outside furniture. Breakfast nice and I would use this place again.

Needs updating. Looking tired and very old.

very friendly and popular for elderly tour groups. Grounds and reception very impressive. Dislikes- hotel needs updating, Lino in lift and bathroom torn needs replacing. Electrics very outdated 3 pin round sockets all old and discoloured. Still using room cleaning on covid standards, Cut down on staff?
