Property was very nice but furniture and room was very old. Pillows were flat and AC was slow to cool. Pool is very nice. Food was ok. Bugs in my room unfortunately

We did enjoy staying here, but wouldn’t say it meets the standards of a luxury hotel. The rooms were clean, quiet and the AC is great which was most important to us overall. But the decor and finishes are tired. And amenities are low quality. A 2 in 1 soap/shampoo is just not appropriate for the star rating. The dining staff is serviceable but not friendly, but the reception staff is quite pleasant. The grounds of the hotel are lovely-we enjoyed the poolside bar quite a bit! The food at the restaurants is good but the breakfast is the exact same every day and lacking in terms of quality I’d say. Overall, we did like this place but could definitely use some upgrades.

Outstanding boutique hotel with superb gardens and swimming pool. Hotel is located in the suburbs of Funchal with free parking. Staff were extremely helpful. Room was spacious and well-appointed and had a balcony overlooking the gardens. Food was excellent!

Lovely stay at Quinta da Bela Vista, very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the beautiful breakfast buffet, pool bar and facilities across the grand estate. The pool and tennis court use was a highlight. It was also handy to have the mini bus service on weekdays to go into the centre of Funchal. Great time we will be back!

Tolle Unterkunft mit sehr freundlichem Personal :-) der Pool lädt zum Entspannen ein. Das Frühstück ist wirklich fantastisch.

This was a wonderful place to stay just outside of Funchal so no noise just peace and bird song the staff were exceptional and supportive, friendly and helpful in every way.

So happy we chose this hotel - a great, quiet location with a fabulous view over the Bay of Funchal, comfortable room (and did I mention the view already?), friendly staff, lovely gardens and pool and the food options were perfect, including the excellent breakfasts.

Wunderbares viktorianisches Hotel außerhalb der touristischen Hochburg. Sehr ruhig aber dann trotzdem stadtnah, mit dem kostenlosen Shuttle Bus in 15 Minuten im Zentrum. Kleiner alter Park und großer Pool, alles sehr gepflegt. Überaus freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Exzellente Küche im alten Menor House von 1840. Rundherum ein gelungener Hotelaufenthalt.

Betten sind nicht komfortabel. Duschen in der Badewanne ist unfunktional.

We had a great stay. The facilities were very good, the restaurants were all nice, in particular the a la carte in the Manor House was excellent. The pool, sauna, jacuzzi and gym were always available when we want them. The gardens were lovely and the view to the city was beautiful. We would definitely recommend the hotel to others

Beautiful grounds and buildings. Good restaurants/bars internally and others walkable distance downhill (taxi back for the less fit). The main asset of the hotel are the brilliant staff who treated my wife and I wonderfully. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Great week there. And Madeira is beautiful - did a tour of the western and northern sides - fantastic.

My son and I arrived after having spent a week in Saccarum resort in Calheta. Our flight was canceled and we had to pivot our stay here. The facilities, though beautiful and historic, left much to be desired. The room we had in the Manor house had no air-conditioning And was infested with bugs in the bed. The staff was quick to move us to a room that was only a double bed, but promised us air conditioning. The air conditioning did not work. We saw remnants of bugs but no live activity. When we checked out, the staff couldn’t have cared less. It’s safe to say we will never return here .

I was expecting much better places and more activities not activities so poor

We've been in many places, but I'lltell you, this is the best hotel we've ever been! Thanks to all members made our vacation u forgettable.
