The hotel was beautiful and very comfortable. The location was perfect, it was close to the opera house and easy to walk through the old town. Service at the hotel was great. We highly recommend this hotel!

The room is old world elegance. The optional breakfast was a wonderful experience worth every euro. Easy walking distance to at least 6 cafes! We loved our stay there with the warm staff.

Rent och snyggt! Trevlig och mycket serviceminded personal. Perfekt beläget mitt i centrum med endast ett par minuters promenad till Statsoperan. Fin frukost med allt man behöver för en bra start på dagen. Tyst och behagligt både inne och ute på gatan.

歴史を感じるホテルなので少し古さは感じますが、清掃も行き届いていて綺麗です。お部屋にシャンデリアがあったり、トイレと浴室がピンクですが品のいい感じでおしゃれで可愛らしかったです。 荷物を早めに預かって頂くことができて大変助かりました。早朝に伺うこともありましたが、受付は24時間対応で皆さん丁寧に親切に対応してくださいました。 朝食はオムレツかスクランブルエッグか目玉焼きはオーダーしたら作って運んできてくれます。コーヒーはティーポットみたいのに入れて持ってきてくれるので何度も頼まなくて済んで良かった上にとても美味しかったです。他のセルフサービスの朝食は会場がそんなに大きくないので種類も少ないですが、一般的なヨーロッパのホテルのバリエーションといった感じです。 エレベーターが狭く、大人2人と大きなスーツケース2個でほぼいっぱいになってしまう感じなので、混雑時は待つか階段使用となると思いますが、私達が滞在した時は混みあうことはありませんでした。

This is an excellent boutique hotel. It is small with around 40 rooms. Each room is decorated and furnished in traditional Austrian style. Nice lobby with a couple of chandeliers, one little water feature, sitting room and BF area on the ground level. There is an elevator. BF was great, very cosy, nicely decorated with an ample selection of breads, pasteries, meats, cold shrimp, caviar, cheeses and fruits. Location cannot be better - between St Stephen’s Cathedral and State Opera House, two blocks off Karntner Strasse, an upscale busy street with shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel.

There was a little construction in front of the property; however, the hotel was nice and breakfast was good. We liked the extras such as the laundry basket and pillow spray. The location is excellent. We would love to stay here again. We didn't receive any Expedia VIP benefits.

Great location! Very friendly and helpful front desk staff! Nice breakfast options. It would be so much more convenient if the hotel had showers instead of bathtubs with showers. Overall a good choice!

Ausgezeichneter Service und ausgesprochene Familienfreundlichkeit. Kleines aber exquisites Frühstücksbuffet…unser 3er Zimmer war zum Innenhof aber sehr angenehm. Alles im klassischen KuK Stil. Lage unschlagbar günstig. Gerne jederzeit wieder.

Good location

Great little boutique hotel very close to all the attractions on a quiet street. Room was a little dated but charming and was large and comfortable. Breakfast buffet was small but nice. Staff were friendly and helpful.

This hotel is in a building which was formerly a palace. It is centrally situated, 3 minutes walking distance to the city square, 4 minutes walking distance to the Burggarten Park where you can see the biggest monument dedicated to Mozart. Another 2 minutes walk across the the road is the Eschenbach palace where we saw an outstanding music concert, featuring compositions of Mozart and Strauss.

We had a room with multiple windows onto some kind of inner space/roof. I could see construction material there, so I asked at reception what was going on. I was assured that there was some work going on at another level and that nothing would start until 9am. The next morning I heard lound banging aroung 7am, went to the window and came face to face with a worker. Reception continued to tell me lies, like they would just be loading some material through the hall way windows and then would stop the noise, but that was not true. When we went downstairs for breakfast, we were surprised at how minimal the offerings were, especially for us as we don't eat meat. So we asked for scrambled eggs and were given the most overcooked eggs we have ever had. After we abandoned ship and went to another hotel for our remaining 2 nights in Vienna (BTW, a much nicer hotel with excellent breakfast offerings and a very attentive reception), we returned to the Schlosshotel and found the entire reception area covered with drop cloths as they worked on electrical in the ceiling. In other words, the entire hotel was involved in construction, and we were being charged normal prices for a less than normal experience. There were no apologies. Just an awful experience, but the good news was that leaving there led us to a superior hotel experience for the same price or less.

Very clean room & pleasant, helpful staff. Nice touches with free sweets, fruit, coffee in reception area. However, room & decor throughout the hotel is extremely dated. Tired bathroom, coloured towels & bed linen (not white). Due to being in a narrow side street, hardly any natural daylight. Overpriced.

This hotel is so charming. I felt like I was staying with a rich aunt in Paris. Excellent value for the money and perfect location.
