The staff at this hotel really stands out. Everyone is friendly and helpful, everyone speaks multiple languages, and they always are willing to answer questions about the area as well as the hotel itself. The rooms are comfortable (and have AC!) and the location is great - right near the train station but not too far to walk to the central area around the water for sightseeing and dining. The breakfast is fantastic. You can usually get a good rate if you book it in advance, but if not, treat yourself at least once during your stay. There are locally made breads and cakes which are amazing -- and they usually have fresh oysters! I also was able to get gluten free bread which was fantastic with their locally made jams and preserves.
