Rating & Review Keseluruhan The Breakers Resort

Beware vacationers, we are first time visitors to Myrtle Beach and did not realize we did not book at the main Breakers hotel. The Dunes is a cheaper motel across the street that Breakers took over and I believe they purposely mis-represented themselves. It is an older building and there were roaches in the room, the furnishings were slightly older and the walls were very thin. We did not get good night sleep due to being on the first floor and near the stairs. Very disappointed. And just note that we notice the foot traffic is much lower. Several fast food and sit down restaurants within walking distance as well as a Dollar General if you need anything. Only good thing about the vacation is the locals being friendly and the restaurants we ate at were very good. Just note that cost of food is up, dinner for 2 with 1 shared appetizer and wine is over $100 with tips. We could buy takeout and eat in the room but the suite did not have a table.

The pool area was nice and there's plenty of lounge chairs. The bathroom by the pool were cleaned every hour! Very nice location and super clean despite the high traffic of people.

Close to the ballfields and the beach

There was big bugs and we had no idea where they cane from considering we had been out all day. When we went to go tell them about it they said they couldnt move us to another room because they were booked but also they couldnt refund us even partially because we booked through a third party. Basically said we have to deal with it and there was nothing they could do. My skin crawls knowing we have to sleep here one more night without knowing if there are anymore bugs. Also it said it was a beach view but there definitely is not one. Do not believe the pictures, the Dunes are possibly the worst place you can stay in. In addition the roof is also leaking whenever a storm came by and the AC also leaks onto the balcony. For the price we paid, it was not worth it.

Roaches and nasty old rooms.

COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!!!! They booked us at a hotel ACROSS THE STREET…. Run down, disgusting and NOTHING like the photos!!!!

The pools were fantastic.

This is a glorified motel at best. Common areas are old and dilapidated. No AC in hallways- Sailfish is markets as renovated but exterior is in bad shape- rooms are clean but overpriced. Horrible parking, no housekeeping, have to ask for fresh towels daily, has window AC units which work well but are very noisy. Small balconies- hard to enjoy sitting on them. Stay at the Marriott or Hilton next door for the same price.

Our condo unit was very well furnished and very comfortable from the couches to the beds. My family and I would definitely stay here again.

The layout of the room was a little awkward but we managed. I wish the room had a broom, after all we were in the beach so sand always finds a way to get in. The room itself had some minor flaws/damages but it was fine. I did appreciate the constant texts checking in and the promptness anytime we asked for something.

Hotel communication was good but walls are thin and its hard to sleep with loud guests. Cleanliness wasnt the best, room was not as advertised, and was charged A LOT (double room rate) to slightly adjust my days of stay.

The staff was very friendly and the options of using all their joining hotel facilities was great.

We found roaches in our room. When we brought one to the manager he smashed it into the garbage and said it's not a roach.
