O hotel está bem localizado, o staff é atencioso, mas não gostei do box do banheiro, cujo piso é mais elevado do que o piso do banheiro. Como o box é aberto, ao se tornar banho inevitavelmente alaga-se todo o piso do banheiro, que não tem ralo para escoar a água. Só em Portugal encontrei box nesse formato, com piso do box mais elevado. Daí perde-se Um tempo enorme para secar o banheiro, sem contar que se perde uma toalha nessa tarefa

Great reception staff. Rooftop is nice but chairs are not comfortable and menu should include small snacks. Nice breakfast. Comfy bed but pillows weren’t that great.

Good room and good breakfast. But, strong and unpleasant odor on the first floor where our room was located. No issue in the room. Walking from the elevator to the room was the worst of the odor. Good terrace bar on the 4th floor with marina view and old city view.

In a perfect position, this hotel is a top pick for central Faro.

Fantastic location. Staff a little grumpy. Room was nice but small. Shower leaked and staining on curtains. No view from balcony except a rooftop.

Great proximity to harbour and old town. Nice staff. Amazing breakfast! We had issue with the AC not cooling the room enough.

We came into Portugal after many hours of travel and our accommodations were the most comfortable nights sleep, the bed and the pillows. We did the breakfast the next morning, and it was exceptional, something for everyone. We also visited the bar in the evening for a drink and had wonderful service, helpful recommendations, and great options.

Die Zimmer waren sauber,das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.Das Hotel wird gerade renoviert,von außen.Davon bekommt man jedoch kaum was mit.

Parking un peu étriqué surtout pour grandes voitures. Pour le reste, très bon choix.

My stay at Occidental

Excellent

Laut Hotelleitung hatte der Swimming Pool kurzfristig technische Probleme und war nicht nutzbar. Dazu fehlte vorab die Info, was sehr ärgerlich war. Noch dazu wurden die Hotels.com VIP Vorteile "vergessen". Als entschuldigung wurde ein Rabatt für den nächsten Besuch angeboten. Das Superiorzimmer ist kaum anders als das normale Zimmer. Offenbar liegen die teureren Zimmer weiter oben. Ist den Aufpreis aber nicht wert. Das Frühstück ist OK. Die Lage sehr zentral. Meiner Meinung nach ist das Hotel überteuert, obendrauf kommen die Kosten für die Garage, wenn man mit einem Auto anreist.

Really nice hotel perfectly located next to the Faro sign and within walking distance from almost everything. The breakfast buffet had several local dishes (some of which were changed from day to day) and was impressive and very tasty. The only thing which was not perfect was that the swimming pool was closed for maintenance during our stay.

It’s opposite the Marina and within walking access to the Old town. The train and bus stations are a short walk away. This made the stay convenient. We got a bottle of wine as part of the hotels.com reservation which was great. We went for the half board option expecting a buffet for dinner but instead we had a three course meal which far outweighed the costs of the half board deal. Bed, pillows and room was comfortable. Good bathroom with toiletries. Also got a free bottle of still and sparkling water. Great deal overall!
