Rating & Review Keseluruhan Hyatt Vacation Club at The Welk, San Diego Area

We arrived about 3:30 and they stated the room wasn't ready. They did give us a pool key if we wanted to swim but we didn't and waited. Went back at 4 (normal check in time). Room wasn't ready and they would text us. 4:30 and received a text that room was ready. Front desk was kind and provided information about resort grounds. Our two bedroom/two bathroom villa was perfect our family size (4 adults and 2 children). Very spacious, has washed/dryer with complementary laundry soap/fabric softener sheets. Kitchen has all the usual gadgets, coffee maker with coffee, sugar, creamer, full fridge, full stove, dish washer and utensils/pans. Living room was spacy and had a dining table for 6. Beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious. One bathroom is in what I consider a master room with spacious closet, fireplace, huge shower and separate large bathtub. The other one can be accessed by main hall door and other door to bedroom, also nice. Patio space is great with two lawn chairs, patio table and patio chairs. Negatives - called housekeeping for ice and they didn't bring it, called the next day and they did. Our living room tv glitched so wasn't able to watch it. Overall I enjoyed our time and will stay again. Did not try the grill but did eat pizza from their on site Pizza Hut. Their market has a lot of items including liquor, and the tarbucks with almost the full menu. We didn't get a chance to visit the store. They have a variety of pools, the one we enjoy

Enjoyed the atmosphere. Clean property and rooms. Maybe a breakfast place?

Nice spacious and very clean rooms.

We were on the third floor the unit was spacious, had a fell kitchen and bathroom— with jacuzzi tub and a covered balcony with a territorial view of the property and golf course. Ideal location!!!

The property is beautiful and there are a lot of activities. However service is getting worse through the years, it gets overcrowded from people who are staying free in exchange for going to presentation and the overall maintenance and quality is going down.

Accommodations very comfortable, beautiful surroundings, price should be lower for people like myself who cannnot take advantage of golf and pool.

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Vacation Club for 5 nights and overall had a good experience, but it started off rough. Check-in was a nightmare—we had to wait over 1.5 hours before we finally got our room. The front desk couldn’t even give us a time estimate for when our room would be ready, which was incredibly frustrating. We probably would’ve waited even longer if I hadn’t spoken to a manager. As soon as I did, the room was suddenly available—something that didn’t sit well with us. That said, once we got settled, the resort itself was beautiful. The property is well-kept and relaxing. Our room was spacious and comfortable, which made a big difference for our family. The restaurant food was just okay—not great, but decent. The real highlight was the variety of family-friendly activities. We had a great time doing the escape room and going fishing together—it definitely added to the experience. Despite the frustrating check-in, we ended up having a nice stay. Just be aware that you might need to be persistent to get things moving.

Great property, only complaint was the room stunk like trash or mildew

Went with the family to go attend a wedding. It was a great place to visit. I’m sure I will return in the future. The waterslide was especially fun.

Since I checked in on Tuesday, we have been trying to get a hold of the front desk zero answer three days later. I even tried the text line and would not get a response until 40 minutes later. Bad Wi-Fi service answering service, bad food choices, and very expensive.

Each apt was very nice

We had an awesome time! Excellent service from beginning to end. Also the mountain pool just opened and it is fantastic!

Nice resort, good condition, enjoyed our stay. Would stay again. Nicholas Sibilla at the front desk overnight was friendly and helpful. A credit to the resort!

Great place for family’s and beautiful property with landscape and amenities
