Breakfast - one of the best choices and quality we have experienced, top marks. The staff were outstandingly helpful and courteous, and that was despite an awkward guest who was rather abrupt and disparaging. So very well done to the lady. Dinner was also first class. We also like the practice of not having to clean the rooms unnecessarily, thereby supporting the greener environmental policies and reducing staff tasking. The air conditioning was also very good, with setting controls and not too noisy. All in all, a wonderful place to stay. (The only improvement I could suggest would be to ensure parents with children adhere to the Spa & Pool access timings and behaviour expected, otherwise a faultless stay.)

We had a lovely two night stay, the pool was used, the grounds sunbathed in and the bar staff were most friendly and accommodating!! Bedroom’s air conditioning was a welcomed luxury! Have to be honest the food was “fine” - not all bad, but not review worthy… just ok all round. Considering there was a wedding and a birthday party, whilst staying the service was second to none!!! Would happily stay again.

A nice hotel in a good area for access to Kettering & the surrounding area. The rooms are well decorated & maintained with everything you would need for a short stay. I especially liked the fresh milk and water facilities on each floor. The only issues I had were small stains on a bedsheet, the wait to be seated at breakfast and the lack of refurbishment of breakfast items. I overheard that they had run out of some items. I found this annoying. The worst thing I encountered was the level of noise from adjoining rooms. I won’t say what I had to drown out with the TV, but you can imagine. However, I would stay again in the future.

This is a difficult review to write, the hotel cancelled the reservation at 12:17 on the day, 2 hours 43 minutes before check-in. The reason, a room being renovated had not been completed. This was extremely frustrating as the hotel had been contacted directly during the week to confirm the reservation and to discuss specific arrangements regarding the stay and the implications should there be a problem. Contacted Expedia Group, you can only call an American number, who were useless. Contacted the hotel discussed with a person (who I am unable to name, who was excellent) the conversation earlier in the week, she was excellent. called back 20 minutes later and confirmed that she had reinstated the reservation. The hotel is great, the staff in the hotel were excellent, the facilities cannot be faulted, it is just a shame that someone at the hotel believes it is acceptable to cancel a reservation at the last minute and damage the reputation of this establishment.

I loved this property and the setting was beautiful. I wouldn’t pay the £15 for the pool facilities again, even though it was lovely I didn’t feel it was worth it, that didn’t detract from my stay though and will be back next year.

Stayed on a dinner bed and breakfast rate. Enjoyable stay. Food was ok. Sadly the spa was practically unusable due to large number of guests/day-visitors using it.

Lovely hotel for a relaxing visit.

Room climate control kept returning to 19 deg C despite attempts to up temperature to 22 deg C. I woke up with a migraine and could not partake of either the spa or buffet breakfast which was included in my stay so cannot comment on these aspects of the hotel facilities.

My daughter was ill during our stay and the staff were very helpful. The room was pleasant and she really appreciated all the Mini VI Little P touches that were in the room for her upon arrival.

Great quiet Location with friendly staff. This was our 4th visit. I like the White Company toiletries, the bath robe and slippers and the old fashioned teapot and cosy for your morning tea with fresh milk. Recommend thoroughly and we’ll be back later in the year.

Lovely hotel and facilities. BUT I’m never comfortable with hotels that control the room heating from reception. Consequently when we arrived and it was 2 degrees outside - the room was freezing! If you control the heating from reception and have guests arriving- I don’t think it’s unreasonable to turn it on from check in time to warm the room so it’s comfortable upon guest arrival. This is obviously a problem as we went to the bar to leave the room to warm up and there were several other guests commenting on exactly the same thing! To be fair they brought blow heaters as soon as I went to reception to mention this. Also the heated towel rail is turned on with the wall lighting the lounge - which was not easy to notice - but left the bathroom freezing as well! I think this policy needs a rethink!
