Dirty shower drain

Location is convenient to travellers and within the vicinity of Welcome Break. Cost of accommodation is affordable. However, property needs updating. Walls are moldy (bathroom), shower basin covered in stain, and the room smells musty. All of us woke up in the morning with bad cough. Booked for 3 but just provided amenities for 2.

Disabled parking right outside entrance to hotel, EV chargers right outside hotel. The lady on reception was absolutely fantastic, anything she could do to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable was no trouble at all. Staff like her are few and far between nowadays. Hotel is due a revamp in the near future I believe, which will further enhance the facilities and stay experience.

Had to pay car parking which is normally free if booked direct. Because we booked through Experian we were charged £5.

The room was dirty, everything was tired, shocking and the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in, in my life. Give it a miss.

Staff were excellent, chatty and very friendly. Quick asn easy to check in. Bedroom was large and clean, usual tea,coffee provided. However bathroom was outdated and not that clean unfortunately.

Not told about paying for car parking at the hotel, first we heard of it was when receptionist asked for parking fee. Bathroom sink had a massive creak right across the basin. Shower tray obviously had something stuck to the floor, since taken up and all the residue left, looked awful. The shower head was too high for me and had very limited movement with a spray of mist coming out from around the jets of water. Lights in room didn't work properly, door handles were taken off, untidy looking then knobs put on door, totally shabby 70s looking doors. The curtains were hanging off the rails and just left hanging. The mattress on both beds had big dips in the middle and the springs were extremely noisy. Maintenence is obviously not a high priority here, or the workmen doesn't have any skills.

Decent enough for short stop over.

Arrived Thursday early evening, the lovely lady at reception was friendly and helpful. She also remembered my friend and i from November last year. We were given our key cards, as we had both booked in on line, put in the car registration at the desk. My room was clean and what i was expecting. Good 2 night stay.

The welcome was reassuring, after a very busy day of work , I was welcomed by the nice lady with smile. She checked me in wothout delay and promptly gave ironing board on first ask. Thank you

Hotel has started charging to park if you dont book direct. Condition of hotel very poor. Carpets etc look and feel dirty. Bathroom floor was sticky. Only one plug socket in the room, nowhere near the bed.

I was shocked to see only 2 single plugs in room which were used for tele and kettle, there was limited capacity to change 2 peoples phones, iPads overnight. The shower tray was really dirty, the shower drain was absolutely filthy, the window in room would not shut properly, there was marks on bed sheets, there was stains all over the walls and carpets

We booked a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. On arrival the room only had 1 bed for 1 child. We asked the person in reception and she said there was a pull out bed under. We went back to room and the pull out bed was there but very dusty and with no sheets. Went back and the receptionist said she’d bring some bed sheets for us. I wasn’t very happy but words didn’t come out of my mouth as I was in a bit of shock. Luckily when she returned she had thought about it and changed us to a room with 2 already made beds for the children. However, the shower floor was disgusting and there was only one towel for shower and one for hands. So in the morning when we realised we had to go and ask for more towels. Then we realised the shower gel bottle was empty. The bed was very uncomfortable, with the mattress bringing us both to the middle of the bed. The pillows were very uncomfortable too. Not recommended

Very reasonable price; convenient, hassle free. Fantastic value for money

2 people in a double room, so why only 1 towel?

Poorly presented and dated with rated ceiling. Arrived and left without a working television, several lights didn’t work, the shampoo/ body wash in the shower had run out. There was no usb points, only one useable power socket in the whole room.
