Rating & Review Keseluruhan Crowne Plaza LAKE PLACID by IHG, an IHG Hotel

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid with our dog. We had a room on the first floor with a sliding glass door that opened onto the expansive lawn at the front of the hotel, with a small patio with a couple of chairs and a table. The view of the mountains and over the town is spectacular. It was a perfect room for traveling with a dog, as our dog could go right outside to pee without us having to trek all the way through the building. We were able to feed him and give him water out there as well. There were other families with dogs in these types of rooms. So if you are traveling with a dog, try to get a balcony room and ask to be on the first floor. It is convenient and the view is fantastic.

Amazing staff, and even upgraded our room when we discovered there was a problem with sink drain! Liked that they provided free coffee and ice water all day. Lovely view of the lake and town, and able to walk to town, but not be in the fray of tourists. Restaurant on premises was a plus but very warm and seemed to be no air circulating or a/c in there. Loved the decor with historical pictures and Adirondack-style furnishings. The bedding was a little outdated and there was no fan in the bathroom or ceiling fans, but loved the little "patio" outside the room to sit and enjoy the view. Overall, I would definitely stay here again instead of the using a hotel on the main street.

Gorgeous views, decent room, overpriced, especially for a Monday & Tuesday night ($250+) The pet friendly accommodations are out of control. The lobby smelled like dogs, people had small dogs, enormous dogs, etc. If your room is next to the pool (pool view), it is very loud, but at least it closes at 9.

Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, and the rooms were neat and clean. I would definitely stay again!

Had the best of stay during our trip for July 4th weekend .

Great place to be with family. Lots of room for kids to run and play. That access was unique.

Beautiful property, with amazing views. Lobby and restaurant areas were fine, but rooms could use major refresh.

The hotel's decor is a bit dated BUT it sits on a choice property rising above downtown Lake Placid with Mirror Lake and Whiteface Mountain views. Al fresco dining at dusk on their patio in Spring and Summer are an absolute must. Rooms are very clean and the mattresses are extraordinarily comfortable (combo Tempur Pedic memory foam with innersprings and a featherlike topper). Walkable to shops and restaurants (you do hike up/down hill), plus convention center and Olympic ice rink. Get a lake view room if you can, but even the rear rooms have nice views of surrounding vistas. The also have electric vehicle chargers in their parking lot. Good gym and indoor pool, too.

The location was perfect. Walkable to town. Close to all the area attractions. Pool was large and deep so we all had lots of fun. Outdoor areas are beautiful. Well maintained property. I’d highly recommend
