Rating & Review Keseluruhan Holiday Inn BRISTOL AIRPORT by IHG, an IHG Hotel

I have inadvertently booked the Bristol Airport hotel and arrived at 7.30pm asking whether it would be possible to transfer. The Deputy Manager ('DM'), spent around 1.5 hours resolving the issue and I confirmed the same with Hotels.com [regrettably there is no way of accessing the chat). When I arrived at Bristol Central at around 9.30 I was told there was no record of me and despite calling other local sites that remained the case. I spoke with the Airport's night receptionist who denied I had been there, said the DM was off shift, said there was no record of me and I should cancel. I worried I would receive a charge and he accepted this was likely. I asked the airport hotel receptionist to get DM to call me when she was back on shift. He didn't. I have to pay for a fresh booking instead. Reception at Central was brilliant, giving me a complimentary drink as she could see I was exhausted. I then set up a chat with Hotels.com (who seemed unable to confirm the situation) and screen grabbed the conversation. Happily I was told I would not be charged. I called the DM who was lovely and reassured me she would make sure Hotels.com did not charge me and apologized for the confusion. The Hotel room was neat, with towels, coffees etc changed daily, though I found belongings from a former guest in my room so am not sure the cleaning is too thorough. Staff were attentive and very friendly. I would stay again but the system between Hotels.com & the hotel needs simplifying

Overnight stay before an early flight. I was pleasantly surprised. A really positive stay. The only nitpicking i could do is that there was no one on reception when I got there and after loitering I had to go and find someone. That’s said staff were very friendly and I loved the room. Free biscuits and a Kit Kat - what’s not to like??

Room and hotel in general was very clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. Real bonus for me was the availability of EV chargers on site. Would definitely stay again.

Staff was amazing. Our room was unbearably hot as air conditioning wasn't working. They brought us a portable ac unit and a fan. It helped a little but unfortunately not much. We didn't sleep well either night. But we would stay again if the ac is working!

Lovely one night stay. Check in was simple & very pleasant lady on reception. Had an evening meal in the restaurant but thought it was a bit expensive. Room very comfortable & very roomy. Overall good stay

Arrived at the Holiday Inn Bristol Airport and found a blue badge space immediately, was pleased to be told it was a free parking space, instead of the £15 a day fee for other spaces. Reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was really lovely and clean, the only downside was it was very hot in the room, even with the air conditioning on (16 was lowest temp.) No windows to open and no other fans in room. Lovely extras were included free in the mini bar. The bar and restaurant staff were fantastic and a special thank you to our waiter called Love, he made us laugh while being professional and efficient at his job. The night reception staff kindly made us free cups of tea and coffee on our very frequent visits to smoke outside. The hotel was completely cashless which I wasn’t aware of and I didn’t really like the fact that you couldn’t choose to use cash, luckily we had bank cards on us or we would have been completely unprepared and would have gone hungry. Would definitely return. Only used as a hotel stop over for an early flight but would use again without question. A suggestion for fans in rooms would make it more of a comfortable stay for customers. Only took 8 mins to Blue Zone Parking at Bristol airport but would consider using the car park facility and transfer to and from the hotel in the future. It would also make a nice little holiday in itself and the amazing staff and service made it amazing.

Inder at the front desk was lovely! Staff very friendly and were very apologetic when we informed them we found blood stains on our sheets and mattress protector. Other than this incident it was a pleasant experience.

I was very disappointed. We tried phoning front desk because our television did not work. We had to stay on tge line for akmost 10 minutes before they picked up. We waited another 30 minutes for someone to come to tge room as promised. Then I got dressed to walk down to reception for help. 10 minutes later someone eventually came. He was very blunt and did not even greet property. They serve a continent breakfast between 4-6am. We went down at 4.30. The coffee machine was broken. The fruit bowels looked like it was the previous day's leftovers. We had to look for someone to get hot water from the kitchen. We suggested that they at least put a kettle next to the instant coffee. They could not think of that themselves. Oh, and the air conditioner did not work either. The room was stuffy. We stayed there previously and thought we will give it a try after the renovation. What a bad experience. Staff training urgent needed.

Great hotel for shuttle to airport. Staff very helpful. Room good and very clean.

Hotel well situated being near airport but food and drinks too pricey.

Lovely, clean premises. Comfy well equipped room. Staff very friendly. Expedia had somehow muddled my name up so it was difficult to check in. Restaurant and bar prices VERY expensive
