Very dirty and depressing. I had to move rooms 5 times! A record! Music blasting full volume with base till the early hours even on a Monday and Tuesday night and even beginning at 7.30am in the first 3 rooms I was offered. Do not take a room overlooking Scarisbrick avenue unless you like to be woken by blasting music and bar deliveries. Generally worn down and smelt of vape throughout. Most things need replacing. The final room I got was actually acceptable with high pressure shower and very hot water. Large tv, decent enough fittings and very spacious but as the windows don't open more than an inch it was swelteringly hot. Typical Britannia style of beautiful historical features being neglected and left to ruin mixed in with dirty carpets, broken furniture and shoddy workmanship. Plus being given the Key card to an occupied room on my first room change! Common with Britania from what I've heard. Staff was mixed bag, some were excellent some not so much.

The hotel was absolutely good I am going again on the 20th of July for two nights this time and have good time again it was absolutely excellent that hotel thank you

Brilliant stay, lovely hotel and great staff

Enjoyed staying here. Being an older hotel it has a bit of character about it, which I like. Woman on reception helpful, very nice and friendly.

Great hotel, made to feel welcome, clean room and great food. The bar was very good and served good beer

The only problem was house keeping needs to improve had to go down for tollit roll plus bathroom was not cleaned properly but apart from that for the price good would stay there again

Room was clean bed comfy shower over bath window was broken I reported it to reception 3 times nobody came the bar ok when it was open shut at 10.30 Saturday night and 10pm Sunday night no warning just put shutters down and he was gone breakfast was good plenty to choose from.

Stayed across the road from a club today blasted music all night and the club inside the hotel blasting music all night too. People yelling in and outside the hotel most of the night

Not the best hotel! Very noisy all night , full of drunk people, paper thin walls , beds not very comfortable, very hot in room windows wouldn’t stay open , wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience, whether it’s enjoying live music, good food, or socialising. They have everything covered.

The place looks lovely from the outside, unfortunately thats where it ends , inside it is old unloved and in need of decoration/ upgrades

Most things were not open on the Sunday only offered breakfast for one day. The room was basic but clean. The bar only took card and wasn’t much choice.

Nice room great breakfast checkin easy and free car parking

Being near the beach, plenty of night life and so can get pretty noisy especially on Fri/Sat nights.

Sue on reception was absolutely fantastic. My only other comment is that the hotel used to have a gym and swimming pool, but these were apparently closed during the pandemic but never reopened.
