I literally happened upon this property in a beautiful coastal suburb, Malahide, right outside of Dublin. I had never heard of Malahide, but a lovely Irish woman suggested I stay at the Grand Hotel for my last night in Dublin. It was a fantastic tip. The hotel gave me the peacefulness and calm I needed before my flight home to Los Angeles. The village it is in is just beautiful with tons of restaurants and the famous Gibney's bar. I'd come back again anytime. Also, my hotel room was recently renovated and it made a world of difference.

Our room overlooked the main entrance . At 0100 am children were outside playing football , directly beneath our room ! I spoke to the manager who eventually spoke to the kids . However they still continued . Around 130-continuing until 0300 am various groups who seemed to be drunk were extremely noisy again outside the lobby waiting for taxis. I spoke to Kevin the manger the following morning who was very dismissive and said they were unable to control this!! I pointed out it happened on hotel property and they ought to be able to control the situation. Apparently there was a function hence the rowdiness. Extremly disappointed in Kevin’s handling of my our complaint and we shall Not staying again . ( second stay at the. Grand and be aware lots of functions on Saturday evenings ‘

Beautifully decorated, large rooms, friendly staff, and good food 😊💕👍 A nice short walk to the small picturesque village and the castle. Walking distance to the beach too.

Malahide has been our go to for many years. The cricket ground has been a very special place for us as a family with great memories. We have stayed in lots of places around Malahide, this time we decided to stay in the Grand, 9/10 from checking in on line, self check in when we arrived, no need to go to reception, fantastic idea. Rooms amazing, the only thing, we couldn’t work the coffee machine, it just kept putting water in the cup! Yes we used the coffee pods. We did ask the cleaner to help, obviously he couldn’t help either. So no morning coffee was had. This was disappointing. To add to that it would have been nice to have herbal tea, and normal coffee, with sweetener's, knowing the machine didn’t work. We didn’t eat an evening meal in the hotel but the food looked delicious. Staff around the Hotel and sports centre friendly and welcoming.

What a beautiful place for an anniversary. The room was spacious and clean. Great water pressure in the shower. Pillows were good and soft. Went to the spa to use the pool and hot tub, unfortunately the tub wasn't working properly. No big deal was a goot time. The food was excellent, I highly recommend the hot wings at the bar. Not too hot but wow what a flavour. Good and close to most places. Top was the Mucross castle and gardens.

A great place to stay, wonderful view of the sea, rooms clean and staff very attentive. Food is good and there are several areas where you can enjoy a drink or casual food

Clean room, lovely staff, nice pool and great gym.

Breakfast had good choice and was fresh. Could perhaps have a think about more than one coffee machine that makes cappuccino, latte etc for the amount of people at Breakfast as queues can build quickly. Staff at breakfast very friendly and attentive clearing plates. Hotel itself is beautifully decorated and finished. Nice to see a free carpark also!

The hotel was fine but a charge of £124.99 was on my credit card which shouldn’t have been charged if I didn’t do online banking I would’ve have seen it before left all.I Was told it was an error in their system I don’t think this is good enough no real apology Iam disappointed at this also the service in the bar for our meal was very slow and they didn’t have what I ordered on Friday night again no apology

Cozy and beautiful hotel right in heart of Malahide. Amazing food and amenities.

We were delighted to be back again in the Grand Hotel - the renovations have made such a massive difference to the quality of a stay there. From the beautiful bedrooms to the gorgeous lobby (which really is Grand now!) to the delicious food, everything is 5 stars! Whether it is to celebrate a Big Birthday (we brought our family there for my 70th) or a cosy 24 hour break for ourselves, the Grand is a winner!
