Amazing stay and location! Apartments are very well equipped, modern and clean. Pool area is lovely. Host went above and beyond to accommodate us when our group wanted to visit reef on day of check in. Very happy and would be keen to return in the future!

Very centrally located apartment right on 4 mile beach. 2 good sized bedrooms, both with ensuites - perfect for 2 couples. Good sized living space with large balcony. Large parking bay. Peaceful area at night. Right opposite the Surf Life Saving Club and Surfy's Bar & Restaurant which is good value for money with great views of the beach. Loved having laundry facilities in the apartment. Very near to restaurants & supermarket. Marina is walkable 15 mins away. The pool and hot tub area is very nice. New bbq was installed while we were there. The general areas within the apartment were clean and tidy but window frames/sills were a bit dusty - did not affect our enjoyment of the space and area.

Management were fantastic! We came in early and were able to leave well past check out as our flight wasn’t until that night.

Revamp of rooms needed, quite outdated. Also lots of dust build up on air conditioners and blinds, mould in bathroom/showers. Great area though, splash park across the road and walkable to the main street.

Pool is lovely, sunny, great design and warm. BBQ n toilet n sun lounges available. Great access to the property. Fabulous Manager happy to help! Close to shops. Cafe on the corner. Surfy’s outdoor dinning on the beach within metres.

Great spot. Easy to walk to Four Mile Beach and the Main Street in Port Douglas. The unit was a little rundown and in need of a renovation. Some of the towels had black marks on them too (maybe a problem with the washing machine?!?!).The pool facilities and gardens were well maintained. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Point to note…there is a water area being built directly opposite. It could be noisy during construction but would be a great area for kids once completed.

The property is in a great location close to the beach and the main street. Looks nice from the outside, the rooms needed updating.

Fantastic location, perfect for families to base themselves. Operators are super helpful.

The unit needed a really good clean. It had a bad drain smell on arrival. I advised the owner and they attempted to rectify some things. It required a total spring clean.

Apartment good size with everything needed. Some maintenance required, rain shower broken, outdoor sofa stained. Room was not cleaned well, I had to clean on arrival. The location is great, short walk to Macrossan Street. We were on top floor, no lifts so bit of work with suitcases.

Great property for families. Safe and secure parking, lovely pool and facilities. Unit was equipped very well and comfortable.

This is not 4* as described. The apartment was dirty and poorly cleaned. The pool area and the facility was very disappointing and dirty. The customer service was not satisfactory. I would not recommend Mowbray by the Sea to others.

The room we had was very run down and tired. There were tiles that were cracked and even lifting in parts. The lounge furniture and outdoor furniture was worn out. Apartment was very spacious and its position is perfect for any visit to Port Douglas being an easy walking distance to anywhere you want to visit while in town. Pool was kept at a really nice temperature for ease of getting in. Has got a lot of potential for being an amazing place to stay but the rooms are in dire need of a refurb before I would be interested in staying here again.
