Rating & Review Keseluruhan Riverside Hotel

The room was on the third floor, a long way to take dogs out, and very hot, although this was beyond the hotels control. Noisy with windows open, again beyond their control.

Good points - free parking, very close to town centre, spacious room, breakfast, pool (didn’t use), staff friendly. Bad points - tv broken, reported to reception but no maintenance on Saturday therefore unable to solve problem, air con would of been great during hot weather, cobwebs on ceiling/walls in room and around hotel, butter on chair and tables sticky during breakfast (better cleaning required). Overall would stop again based on location and free parking but more attention to detail is needed ie cleaning and making sure things work (ie tv) before putting people in rooms

Hotel was nice staff friendly. Good location. Sadly the rooms and dinning room for breakfast was quite in need of some TLC. Breakfast pretty basic, wouldn’t pay again to have that. Bathroom was odd, a really low sink, with shower over the bath and no disabled grip bars. Gym looked good, but as my daughter is 16 she wasn’t allowed in as it was for ages 18+ Good location, not far from the centre but a lot of restaurants closed early in the week

Really nice stay at the riverside hotel. Easy and quick check in, reception staff were very friendly and welcoming. The spa was as lovely and the gym was modern and had ample equipment. Just the weekend we wanted

Good location, enjoyed view of river. Staff friendly and helpful, especially reception. Gym and swimming facilities clean, good standard and real bonus which would influence booking. Breakfast good options and cooked food well presented, not greasy scrambled egg perfect. Some options such as tinned fruit, limited bread options a bit disappointing. Overall some parts of the hotel look tired and could do with a revamp ie tables in breakfast room very worn, as were some fittings in bedroom and decoration could do with repaint. However the positives outweigh these areas and overall still good value and would re-book

Everything was lovely nice and clean. Nice view of the river. Staff lovely and friendly food was okay. My only negative would be the terrace over looking the river. A few tables but not clean and smoking and vapeing aloud which completely spoils the special view. It would not be pleasant to dine on there while smoking is aloud. As it is a small area and unpleasant for none smokers. On the whole a nice hotel.

Comfortable

Lovely friendly staff during our stay. Nice pool facilities, didn't use the gym but it looked well stocked. Food was nice, especially the breakfast and nothing was too much to organise for us. Garage parking was easy to locate and property is near to shopping areas and more pubs and restaurants. Would stay again.

We stayed for one night as a stop over on our way back from Scotland to the South Coast. It was very good for our purposes with a convenient parking space. The disadvantage was the hot weather and trying to sleep with no air conditioning or fridge in the room for a cold drink. The breakfast wasn’t brilliant with lots of uncleared tables and stained cups. Think the dishwasher wasn’t working properly maybe? Staff were friendly and excellent in their roles. It’s just all a bit tired. It smelt of stale food when we arrived. Very hot and smothering inside the building. I would not recommend a visit here in the Summer. It was value for money though and we were fine for one night. Our room had a nice view of the river.

Basically clean comfortable room but would benefit from being painted. Pool was small but clean and nice and warm. Staff lovely. X

After a long drive we received a lovely welcome from the lady at the front desk. The room was large, quiet and had a river view. We had everything we needed for a brief stay. Would recommend.

Leisure Centre facilities have been recently upgraded. Excellent.

Easy check in. Room comfortable family room. Excellent swimming pool, sauna etc Really friendly helpful staff. Good location in kendal

The hotel has incredible viewing as location on river Kant. Also easy parking and walking around. The only thing wasn't great accessibility for disabled people. Also the pool and jacuzzi was very small. Apart from that all good

Perfect hotel stay for our dog friendly requirements, a warm welcome on arrival. Perfect base for places we wanted to visit in the Lake District. Perfect weekend and would recommend

They experience wasnt great. Initially put in a room without a bath. The bathroom condition was poor in the room we were moved in to. Unusual unpleasant odour to the room we stayed in. The spa facilities we average, sauna wasn't very hot and the jacuzzi didn't work. Good that dogs could stay but we wouldn't stay here again.
