Really cool hotel. You do have to walk outside to get to your room, kind of interesting experience in the snow! Loved the grotto! It was super busy, so we didn’t stay in there long, but really neat to watch the snow come in through the centre!

Rooms are a bit outdated,and overpriced. No fridge,no microwave Which should be common.

Great location on Banff Ave close to the center of town. Rating keeps in mind this is a 3 star hotel, not a 4 star. If you like 1960's cabin vibe, you'll like the hotel and rooms. If you like to be more comfortable, like having AC in the bedroom as well as the living area of the narrow suite, assured parking in the garage so you're not hunting for rare spots on the street for overnight street parking, EV charging, genuinely clean floors and carpeting, bathroom lighting that illuminates more than just one side of your face, modern laundry machines, or more than one ice machine or elevator for the building, you may not be entirely comfortable. All the staff were friendly. It was convenient having a Chili's as the on-site restaurant, with a patio although a good cafe with proper espresso bevs and such and/or a solid bistro would have been awesome. Those can be found at pricier hotels walking distance down the street, in the heart of downtown.

The hotel was a wonderful stay as always. Very friendly staff and helpful staff.

Great hot tub

Air conditioning is not offered in all the rooms. That was not obvious when we made the reservations. We paid extra for a room with air conditioning on site, but it is so old it barely works. The hotel did reverse the upgrade charge, so appreciate them owning up to the issues. Also, the tub does not properly drain and the bed and bath linens are of very poor quality. In general the hotel looks nice from the outside, but the rooms are very old, dated and poorly maintained.

Loved everything about this place!! The front desk staff was do helpful and the rooms and facilities were awesome!

We loved our stay at The Fox hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and everything was walkable so we did not use our car again until we left. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was unique and quiet. We would definitely stay here again!

The location was walking distance to the heart of Banff. The room and amenities were nice, and as expected, though no frills here. A good room at a fair price. I would book again. The staff was helpful when we had questions, and we did take advantage of the hot pool several times after we found the quiet times in afternoon when there were less or no kids in it. We tried the fitness room one morning but it was bare bones and the sweat smell was overwhelming. (Though it may have been the other guest using it.) We couldn't find any cleaning spray so decided not to use again. We got enought steps in hiking every day so it was not greatly missed. The description we read on Expedia said there was a business center, when I called to confirm I was told there wan't one. Luckily the one day i did need to use a computer, I did find one in their vending room and got on no problem, and had researched the local library as a back up.

Upon arrival front desk personnel were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Layout of hotel was very unique and interesting. The location was fabulous as it was walking distance to downtown and the replica “cave and basin” hot tub in the basement was a pleasant surprise to us. So unique but extremely hot! The down sides are the room was small, 2 double beds and barely any space to open our suitcases, no fridge and no air conditioning. A fan was provided which definitely helped since there was only a small window up high that opened.

Could have been kept the room clean better, no AC .. electric fan was provided with lot of dust. Room was small for 2 queen beds… would have been better if the room was bit more spacious… felt money put for the room was overrated

Property ac does not work very hot and

Our 4-night stay at the Fox Hotel was a disaster. For a property that demands a CA$2,500+ premium, the experience was appallingly amateur and even dangerous. The accommodation grandly titled as Executive suite was a joke; the "duplex room" was a claustrophobic nightmare, completely unsuitable for four people. To make matters worse, the downstairs bedroom lacks climate control, leaving us to suffocate in a stifling, overheated room. It is frankly unacceptable to charge luxury prices for such uncomfortable conditions. The physical state of the hotel is equally decrepit. The most alarming issue was the blatant safety hazard in our room: a sharp, exposed metal protrusion inside the closet that resulted in a serious injury. While the staff was quick to provide basic first aid, that was the extent of their "service." Management showed zero interest in taking responsibility, offering no follow-up, no medical assistance, and no compensation for the ruined portion of our stay. To call the "gym" an apology for a fitness center is being generous. Save your money and look elsewhere; this property is riding on its alright location but failing on basic standard of hospitality, safety, and comfort. My only regret is not doing more research before choosing this subpar, dangerous establishment. Never again.

After paying $650 for a night, I did not expect no A/C or mini fridge. Wi fi was horrible. Below basic amenities for a high price.

The location was good. We were able to walk downtown and didn’t need to use a car. They also provided you with bus passes so you could take the bus downtown. There’s only one air-conditioning in the living room area and none in the bedroom so you need to leave the bedroom doors open in order to get air-conditioned into the back rooms. There was no information in the room regarding where you could get breakfast or where the pool was located, etc. the furniture was a bit worn but comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the pillows. It was nice having two bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Having no AC for the price is unreasonable. The room was quite dirty, hair in the bathtub, dirty bedding, stained bath mat and dirty blinds. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable. Walls must have been thin as we could hear the conversations happening in the rooms next to ours at all hours. We were very disappointed with our stay and won’t be returning.

Excellent location, well designed layout of rooms and walkways, Chilli's restaurant is attached to this hotel and was great. However for what we paid, the tub drain could have been cleaned out by staff so the water flows and also the TV's are way behind the times; its time for an upgrade and ability for patrons to sign into their own Netflix accounts (streaming accounts). The towels were clean and the towel policy is great for multiple night stays. They do need to ensure the pool towels are kept up with the demand tho.

Great hotel, hot tub setup is amazing . Rooms a little small. But the chilis and hot tub are worth it alone
