Room was clean and spacious. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent.

Rooms are great size and very clean

The hotel was nice and the food was good but neither were as good as other Autograph collection hotels. The most disappointing part of our trip is we had booked a balcony room overlooking the gardens. When we checked in we were told we were upgraded to a suite. This sounded great but the suite faced the parking lot, had a weed covered balcony with two metal chairs on it and the suite had no air conditioning and was getting up to 29 degrees at night. Therefore we had to keep the blinds closed in the room the entire stay and couldn’t even enjoy our parking lot views. Staff told us that they would move us, and we would have happily taken a downgrade in room but despite telling us we would be moved they never actually moved us over our two night stay. While there is nothing wrong with this hotel, there was nothing exceptional about it either. On our trip to Ireland we also stayed at Ashford Castle, Lyrath Estate and the College Green in Dublin, all of which were better experiences for similar price points.

Amazing hotel and facilities

Best hotel we ever stayed at in 40 years. We celebrated our 40 year wedding anniversary here.

Breakfast was great. Rooms clean & spacious. Beautiful views. Wonderful country stay! Staff very polite & attentive. Jack in the casual bar was a very nice & impressive young man.

Very impersonal for a 5star resort. Staff were trained without the customer in mind.. for example I was trying to buy a drink for my guess after dinner. It was 9:50pm and we told the bar was closing… even though the front desk said the bar was open until 11:30. We got served but immediately we were presented with the bill. When I made a comment.. “it’s ok I’m staying at the hotel .. I’m not going to do a runner..” then the manager came down and started arguing with me in front of my guests. A most unfortunate and unpleasant experience! Definitely not a 5 star hotel experience

The property itself is beautiful, and I’m sure the rooms look amazing. However, I couldn’t even get past the check-in. My wife and I flew in on a Wednesday morning and got to the hotel and were excited to check in. I even called the day before and told them I land early and I was told they were most certainly accommodate an early check-in by 11 AM because they weren’t sold out of rooms apparently. Upon arriving, the Front Desk personnel that I worked with was already ignorant, rude, and seemed a bit racially motivated. She immediately said we do not do early check-in until 4 PM, however, after I spoke to her and told her I had already confirmed with someone the night before she went to the back, spoke to whoever she had to and came back and said we have a room that’s in ““ Cleaning stages and will be ready shortly. While that was happening, I asked her if there was an upgrade available to a balcony room she said there was she went over and chatted with another Front Desk personnel and granted me the upgrade for free after the other person said sure this was exciting until she told me that this room two is in Cleaning stages and will be ready by 12 PM to which I was fine with however 12 PM came 1 PM came 2 PM came and still no room then she tells me unfortunately I can’t check you in until 4 PM when I explicitly told her I have a wedding at 3 PM to get to. Instead of explaining to me that my original room I booked was ready to go, which another Front Desk person had told me

Room we received did not look like the pictures I booked online. We booked a deluxe room with a king bed which had a bath and shower in the room , however when we arrived we had been given a WC accessible room with no bath. This was extremely disappointing as we felt we paid quite a lot of money for this room and did not get what we expected.

We had a very poor experience staying at Powerscourt in 2026 - without sharing all the details, we made a serious complaint relating to room security and would never stay here again based on our experience.

This was our first trip to Powerscourt Hotel and we had a really enjoyable trip. Excellent room, staff and food/drinks. Everything of such an exceptional standard. Lovely place for walks close by and we really enjoyed relaxing drinks in the foyer area (Sugarloaf lounge) with great view over the garden area.

I mean, could you ask for anything better? What a stunning hotel. Absolutely fabulous and I've stayed at top rated hotels all over the USA - and this one might top those. Whimsical, gorgeous, all of the things. Family friendly but still very romantic.
