Great customer service

Overall the property and room was very nice. Bed was comfortable. Location is great! Shower did not have hot water.

Very satisfied.

Room was very quiet and clean, staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good, would have loved to have an option for sausage though! All in all, would stay here again.

Very comfortable hotel. Can be hard to get used to the elevators. Was close for walking to the Byward Market.

the room is okay but the bathroom needs work. It could use a towel rack and a new shower curtain . The restaurant could use a coat of paint. The carpet on the stairs and hallway should be changed or deep cleaned. Staff in general are friendly and helpful.

Location of the property is excellent close to the theatre. Restaurant is good and convenient. A few benches close to the water would be good. There is nowhere to sit by the water.

Lovely location near a footbridge to the park. This was under construction while we were there, but when complete the walk to the park would be faster than driving. Good breakfast with many choices. The room was clean and comfortable for sleeping, ours was right beside the parking lot which wasn't ideal but it was quiet and parking was very close to the door. Would definitely stay here again and pay a little more for a room overlooking the waterfront. Spectacular sunset view from this property.

The staff is really nice. They're working on improving the building as it need to be so.

Staff were ok. Room looked dingy and not properly cleaned. There were stains on the floor, bathroom towels and bathroom sink. The TV stand was dusty. Overall it seemed like minimal cleaning was done.

Overall a very nice stay! I know there are some recent negative reviews, but honestly the hotel was very nice, and we stayed in what would probably be considered a standard room. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. They offered a free , fresh made breakfast in the morning, way better than the usual buffet style. The staff was super nice, polite and attentive. I’m guessing the ownership may be new, I say give them a chance to work out the kinks on the restaurant side :)

Convenient place to stay. Would have liked a water view room.

We had fond memories of a beautiful grand lady hotel in the center of town. We were given keys to our room. which when we opened the door was too smelly to enter! It was foul stale air and dampness. The hotel is well past its heyday and the facilities were not clean, the spa was closed and we were told the beautiful balcony was closed for the season, our meals were unpalatable, the public areas a disgrace, there were no tablecloths (as in the promo!), our hands actually stuck to a dirty, worn table and the stairs down to our room were dangerous. Make sure you realize that the prices quoted on line are in $US not Canadian!

It wasn’t advertised as without elevators so it was a bit of a surprise to have to schlepp suitcases3 stories

The setting was lovely but the cleanliness was not up to standard. The staff seemed new to the hospitality industry. TV didn’t work in room. Food was ok. Booked because of the setting but was disappointed in the experience

This probably has a great location. However, the quality of the hotel is very low. I don’t think the owners care about quality.
