There was no bell boy you have to carry your luggage by yourself . Lots of stairs . Elevator was not spacious need upgrade . Staff should need to smile they were very serious .

The staff absolute brilliant made our stay extra special credit to them all. Stunning views amazing mansion and spa only let down was the dead flies around the pool, hot tub and steam room easily fixable. Sad to hear it will be closing but we will be back once reopened amazing stay.

The air con has not been working for over 2 months. The hotel do not advertise this and still sell the rooms at full rates. It was a very unpleasant experience and so unfortunate. We stayed when there was a heatwave (over 30 degrees Celsius). The hotel manager offered his apology and didn’t offer anything substantial to compensate for This. He only offered a free afternoon tea or an upgrade only if I decided to stay again at the hotel. That’s not really a compensation as that requires spending at least £200 for an overnight stay. The hotel will close in September 2025 for 3 years for a refurb. All the staff except for grounds staff are being made redundant. You can tell staff morale is low and not motivated. Feel sorry for them.

The room we stayed in was shabby and dingy, there was no air-conditioning and the temperature was uncomfortable. There was a smell coming from the kitchen vents. The grounds were very lovely.

We spent about 60 mins before we were offered a suitable room. It’s a lovely place but old. The rooms in mansion house have old furniture and in the first room a bath that could easily be 40 years old. It was not clean and so the very friendly staff showed us 4 other rooms all the same and we picked the best of them but still very dissatisfied because it had very poor WiFi. We were about to leave but they showed us a room in parklands. If you stay there it’s very nice quiet and a king bed( mansion house have doubles?!) room 104 very nice . Bad start it we had a very nice time. Spa is nice and dinner steak is very good.

Beautiful views outside and interior is elegant. Staff were very friendly. Room was very comfortable and spacious.

It is a lovely hotel and such a shame it is shutting in a few months. Our experience was not as great as the first time as a lot of drinks were not available, and there is only one restaurant left on site. We were not given any slippers in the spa, house keeping didn’t refill the shower gel and shampoo and there was just not enough staff to serve at the bar.

Stunning location, views, architecture and interiors. Excellent service and the meals were divine. Upgraded to suite which was unexpected but incredibly welcome for my partners birthday! The spa facilities were just fantastic and the golf course superb! We'll definitely be back!

Enjoyed our stay

the lovely grounds for us made our stay wonderful, however whilst we enjoyed the old building and could feel the history, it's obviously in need of a refurb. The staff were amazing, we did not have breakfast but the supper was best forgotten. Spa was very enjoyable.

The food if you could call it that was disgusting.We ordered what they call lunch!!! choice for a 5 star hotel is dreadful, we had to have a burger!! for my partners birthday lunch as the other choice was a sandwich.On the dinner menu I chose artichoke risotto,the rice was not cooked and the artichoke consisted of 3 outside leaves that were burned totally not just chared as stated, no artichoke in the dish at all,and it was tepid at best,as was the soup. .The room was very ordinary and a long walk from the main building and with no opening windows. Pretentious , totally overpriced rip off.

Luton Hoo is a guarantee. Great, quiet, peaceful, beautiful.

Luton Hoo is a fabulous hotel. The building is a work of art, and the food & beverage are excellent quality (and sensibly priced). The crowning feature of the hotel is the people who work there. The staff are are friendly, well-informed and professional. They are a credit to the hotel and great ambassadors for the brand/
