Staff at reception were not helpful, not great or very receptive on arrival when my wife and son checked in. I was parking the car. Ruined my son’s birthday experience on arrival. We were going Lego land do 2 days. Had I been there I would have made a complaint.
We asked reception for an item for our room on the day we arrived, After two days it didn’t arrive. Having chased it up myself on the day we arrived, I was told by reception, it had been requested and they were not over willing to chase it up again. Poor customer service.
Beds were uncomfortable and bed sheets had coffee stains on them.
House staff were all polite and welcoming. Always well greeted.
Decor of the actual building and estate is beautiful and the breakfast was good with lots of variety especially for vegetarians. Staff at restaurant were helpful.
First impressions make a lasting impression and although the location was very close to Lego Land, we are unlikely to come back here again.
