Everything was spotless The staff were friendly and courteous. Very happy.

The hotel is excellent , very clean and with a perfect location. The only problem I see was the size of Room 126. This room was let to us as a double for 2 people. This room is more of a double with single occupancy or a large single room but NOT a double for double occupency. Another point to rermember is that the car parking charges are astronomical . Apart from this. lovely hotel.

Wonderful theme of Churchill reflected all around, even in the bar. Great location. Room good enough but bathroom was not great - tiny corner unit, toilet weak to flush, shower not staying in place etc. Having said that, it's an old heritage hotel so something to accept. Great bar food and nice they supply playing cards for some fun. Overall quite good stay

This stunning hotel is really convenient if visiting the beautiful city of York, just outside Bootham bar. Stunning period rooms and a great welcome, friendly staff. Loved it!

On arrival, the gentleman on reception was exceptional. Very welcoming and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and clean with a great view of the York Minster. Excellent location and we'll definitely be back. 10/10

The hotel is just outside the city walls and has its own car park which was great! The staff was very friendly and helpful!

This hotel is brillant , we had a rather small room 130. However the lovely Ian has showed us another room which is perfect as we want to come back . Perfect location for the city of york. Thanks Ian you were so kind .

Breakfast was lovely. Prince of Wales Suite a beautifully decorated and clean. Staff friendly. Dining menu not as good as last year's stay. Disappointed significant celebrations not mentioned/recognized especially after specifically mentioning it on booking.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very nicely decorated and spotless. The hotel was only a 15 minute walk from the city centre so the location was great.

Beautiful building, some beautiful original features, ‘modern’ decor lets it down (my opinion), room was large, bed was comfortable, had all needed items tv, kettle , iron , and welcome items etc… tired carpet though , tired furniture, shower functionality awful, also car parking charged @ £18 per day, I was never informed of any charges was just taken off my card without my knowledge .
