Absolutely loved my stay here. The facilities and the location are both spectacular. All staff members were just brilliant. A particular 'shout out' to Sasha and John in the restaurant, Steak at Six. Thank you for taking such good care of me and my friends. We all had a fantastic time: Thank you. You are awesome at what you do.

From the moment we checked in the staff were attentive, especially Ashley in the signature lounge he couldn't do enough for us.

Very disappointed.. Stayed during the hot weather and when we arrived were given a room of the top floor! Air conditioning did not work and could not open the window as safety locked to only open a tiny bit.. Went to reception advised that no other rooms available and given a very rubbish fan.. Feel the room was expensive, the staff weren’t to bothered and no compensation or understanding given.. I would like to formally complain!

Beautiful resort, clean and well maintained. Food was gorgeous in The Grill. The room Is dated, would have looked gorgeous 30 years ago, very dark wood and we had no furniture to sit on the balcony.

Impressive place and setting …. Grand reception , rooms ok wouldn’t pay extra for balcony because it was unsightly with weeds . Service went down hill as night went on and got busy . Ordered two cocktails £16 EACH and only one turned up …. Finished the one before the other turned up ! Very poor then just had to always attract attention for service ! Really disappointing . Breakfast staff were very friendly and attentive . Over all the place needs some improvement , looking tired in places .

Given the price and star rating, I expected better service at this hotel. The rooms were clean but amenities were lacking. There was a fridge, but no minibar. No coffee machine like most hotels have these days, tea and coffee were provided via instant sachets and kettles. There was also no water provided. We had to call reception to request this but after three calls and no water turning up, we gave up. A used cup was left outside my room during my stay. I don’t know why it wasn’t taken away. That’s all I can say about the cleanliness… Breakfast was a nice, simple, standard hotel breakfast. Parking costs £25 per night for residents. Blue Badge holders get this half price (just show your ticket at the desk when checking out).

We had a fantastic stay at the Celtic Manor, all the staff are well trained, polite, friendly & attentive. The hotel & grounds are stunning with a huge choice of bars & restaurants. The food was great & the variety at breakfast was superb. We will definitely be going back next year for our anniversary, they make you feel special , thank you. Guy & Diane

Staff very polite and helpful, however the lifts in the resorts were really bad, very slow and not enough lifts for the number of rooms, sometimes i had to wait well over 5 mins to get into the lift, my room was on the 8th floor do could not really use the stairs

Room was a good size and was nice and clean (as was the rest of the hotel). The facilities were OK, but the whole hotel feels very tired and dated and not really what I’d expect from a 5 star. The food was fairly standard, no better than the food I’ve had in other 3 and 4 star hotels. Pool looks great in the photos but was extremely busy on our stay. Communication in advance of our visit wasn’t great - I emailed twice to ask a so eventually had to call instead. Parking charges for guests are steep. Not a terrible stay, but not somewhere I’d rush to go back to

I'd always wanted to stay as I'd passed the hotel many times. First, parking -you have to pay. Underground is £25, overground £13.50. Not good. Receptionist helpfully told me to move car from underground to save money. Went to get light lunch on cafe/bar in foyer. Lots of staff milling about but took some time to be served and then wrong sandwich arrived. Also would have expected a decent sized tea pot instead of one that help one and a bit cups. Room was OK, comfy bed, but had to get maintenance to fix the plug plunger for the sink. Would have expected housekeeping to notice this. Then, after I went to bed I tried to adjust the AC but it just kept reverting to "high" so had to call reception at 1.30am to fix it. Fortunately it was fixed remotely. Dined in The Grill. The hotel thoughtfully provide minibuses to get you around the site. Waiting staff were helpful and friendly but I didn't care much for the food - moules mariniere. Strange taste. There was plentiful food at breakfast but it was all s but bland. Overall it was a disappointing stay for a 5 star hotel. I prefer the Vale Resort. Kettle had scale on outside.

Great hotel with beautiful scenery and really good restaurants. Only disappointment was the lack of accessibility to lower floors with a pushchair.

Just the most amazing place and some of the most welcoming staff I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Hotel was fab, pool area was excellent, well catered for children. Only feedback would be healthier options on the bar menu would have been welcomed!
