We just returned from our Portugal adventure and want to share that Hotel Florescente is a rare gem. Definitely not your average 3 start hotel. The location is great for exploring and close to the Hop on-Hop off and trams. Our room was beautifully updated, clean, and comfortable, on the quiet side of the building. The breakfast was lovely, with enough variety to satisfy us. What really sets this hotel apart in our opinion is the staff. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome, spoiled us for our anniversary, and were so helpful with recommendations. Paulo, Nuno, Vera, and the two gals in the bar area were standouts for us!

The staff was excellent. Some of the best I’ve experienced. Not one staff member was less than exceptional. The only thing that was disappointing was that the room was the tiniest I’ve stayed in. There was only room for a bed, I could barely walk around the bed between the chair in the corner. Would have been nearly impossible to fit two people’s belongings in this room. I wouldn’t stay again for this reason but other than that it was a lovely experience with the staff and the included breakfast was a great start to the day. Comfortable bed. Perfect location.

Lovely room, well-appointed bathroom and shower. Breakfast was included and many options were provided in the hotel cafe downstairs. We were given a choice of a free bottle of wine upon arrival. The location was central and walkable.

Very pleasant front desk staff. Room looked nothing like the pictures on web. Needed an update.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön. Auch wenn wir das erst am zweiten Tag bekommen haben. Leider war die Umgebung sehr laut. Bereits um 9:00 Uhr hat das Theater nebenan bis abends immer wieder die selbe Musik gespielt. Das war sehr störend. Gleichzeitig gab es auch noch Renovierungsarbeiten im Hotel, die teilweise sehr viel Lärm verursacht haben.

Vera, in the dining room was amazing! Overall, the place was fantastic. The staff were great. They upgraded us, for our honeymoon. The location was perfect - easily walkable to anything you might want.

We ordered an airport shuttle but they never came. The rest of our stay was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to take care of all our needs. They were always smiling, attentive, and curtious. The food at the Bistro 99 attached to hotel was superb. Will definitely return on our next visit to Lisbon.

There are a lot of great things about this hotel - nice rooms, great breakfast, convenient location. We stayed in two different rooms during our two night stay because our first room was so noisey. We were at the front of the hotel at the end that is close to the neighbouring theatre’s videos screen advertising shows ( it was repetitive and extremely loud). So our first night wasn’t great, but we loved the back room we were moved to the next night, and appreciated the manager getting this sorted for us.
