I discovered blood stains on the mattres cover. I received clean cover and sheets but the manager took the dirty ones and wanted me to put clean cover and sheet by myself. I am glad it was only two nights at this place. Town and atractions are worth the recommendation.

Ruhig auf einem Hügel gelegen. Zur Stadt werden es so 400 Meter gewesen sein. An der Sauberkeit müsste man noch etwas nachbessern. Das Zimmer war Ansicht OK. Allerdings war da wohl ein kleines Ungeziefer Problem. Hauptsächlich draußen, kamen aber natürlich auch in die Zimmer und Flure. Wird aber wohl Jahreszeiten bedingt sein. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war groß und lecker. Zum MT. Rushmore war es nicht weit und auch zum Crazy Horse war es nur ca. 30 Minuten.

Poor water pressure, bugs coming in from under and around the door. Toilet kept dripping water. The staff was nice and some of them were helpful. Free breakfast was great. They had scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and sausage gravy, along with fruit, bagels, and a few other items.

The bathroom had black mold throughout the ceiling. When we went to use the pullout sofa - the cushions were removed and food was left behind from previous occupants. We didn’t even open the mattress to explore further.

Rooms were super small. Staff really nice. Bugs around the interior of hotel. Harmless but startling if I would not have inquired.

There were flying insects that kept coming into my room. When I spoke to the desk clerk about it it did take a couple of times before they sent maintenance to spray around the door. But it did get better. There was also a problem with being charged by Expedia in the motel but thanks to the diligence of the customer service it was resolved fairly quickly. Breakfasts were always good but it was usually the same everyday. The evening cookies were absolutely delicious and addictive!

I woke up hungry, therefore the breakfast was very much appreciated (as well as the 24/7 coffee)!

We had a room with a balcony, it was nice to sit and drink coffee on it in the mornings and relax at the end of the day.

The exit doors had no locks on them. Inside hotel was old and some places in room were in bad shape. Shower curtain bar was rust. Faucet continous drip in tub. Had stink bugs in room.

Not sure if room service was optional. We expected it daily but met with none.

Friends trip

I brought my kids and dog to this hotel for a mid week get away for a homeschool field trip. I loved the location of this hotel! The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. The overall stay was pleasant. The main reason for 4/5 was the general condition of the hotel. While I can understanding keeping costs down by avoiding major upgrades, the basic upkeep seemed to be lacking. The towel rack in our bathroom fell when we pulled a towel from it. Fixtures/hardware were loose in bathroom and around the room. The flooring in the hallways (3rd floor) creaked A LOT and you could feel the flooring underneath weakening. Headboards seemed to be smeared with cleaning solution that left a residue. The pool was fun for the kids, LOT'S of chemicals though. Hot tub felt a bit dirty. The hotel seemed a little understaffed but that may be typical mid week. I also didn't get room service and i assume it is because we had a dog with us but no one really explained that to me as it eas my first time traveling with a pet. I also wasnt told about the pet area outside and had been stuggling to find areas for my dog to go to the bathroom. So some basic communication errors. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, my children want to return! The balcony was fun to have on the 3rd floor, the views were awesome!
