Each room has a view. The rooms are old. But they are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The steakhouse is the bomb!!! One of the main reasons we go there. And of course, there is the casino. And best of all, they are dog friendly. I usually only stay in the high end hotels. But I love Topaz lodge just as much.

The Topaz Lodge is perched above Topaz Lake with views from all the rooms. The coffee shop which is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner has great views and so does the steak house but check the opening days for this one. The lake is so beautiful, and the rooms are a decent size. This is not a brand-new hotel, so it is showing its age, but the room had a table and chairs, and an armchair, coffee machine, microwave and fridge. What makes it a great hotel, apart from the location, are the staff. They always have a smile on their face and are so friendly and will go out of their way to help you. I want to give a shout out to Feather in housekeeping and to Donna and Monica at the bar. The hotel gives vouchers for a free drink, and $3 off breakfast per person, per day. The hotel has a casino which we enjoyed.

Love the location with views of the lake as well as the great all around restaurant - best breakfasts anywhere! We didn't like that the ice machine was unavailable in our building and the one in the next was quite slow and didn't give you much. Other than that, all was good.

Stayed for one night while traveling with family. Topaz Lake and scenery is very nice. Walls were thin and we had inconsiderate neighbor blasting tv til midnight and then opening/slamming door constantly at 5 am so i didn't sleep well. The property itself is a cool place but walls are thin and can hear loud neighbors. Everything else was good. Nice cafe with good food and bar and casino. There's a swing set that the kids enjoyed. Would stay again. Just got unlucky with loud neighbors.

Room was not ready when we arrived. The staff was very friendly and apologetic for the delay. However, we waited in our car for 2 hours before we could check in. This was well after the 3:00 check-in time. Otherwise, very service oriented staff, the room was spacious and comfortable. We will stay here again.

Old property noisy because the pathway to the casino is right by the rooms and bathroom window allows noise in room. Bed was fair Food was fair in dining room- slow service

Horrible hotel with even worse customer service. We had a group of 13 that all had rooms. Two of our rooms, mine included in that, were not ready for 2 hours when trying to check in at 5pm. Staff was very untrained and had ZERO skills to solve problems. I was talked to in a rude manner by several employees for THEIR problem. Then to top it off I was given a discounted rate in which they charged me AGAIN, not a refund. The room was dirty, had trash in the cans, hair on the floor in the bathroom, and smelled. STAY FAR, FAR away from this place.

Dated but large room. There was no elevator in our building and the bed seemed small. Maybe a full size. There us a couch, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Also DTV.

While they have “upgraded” some of the rooms, I had the unfortunate chance of being given a room in the part that had not been upgraded. Used soap, bugs, the water smelled horrible in the shower, and someone had used the toilet and not flushed which tells me that this room had not been cleaned. I will not be staying here again. If you are driving through and need a place, keep going to Carson City. The positive thing I can say, is that the staff was really nice.

A great place to stay with nice views, a delicious breakfast and super friendly and helpful staff.

We found maintenance to be needed in some area, bathroom sink. The bed mattress was very soft and unsupportive. We woke up sore every morning.The lady that provided room service as well as the first lady that help us at check in were very nice and helpful. The other lady who I talked to the next morning was not! Sarry, I did not take names. We have stayed here several time in the past, 4 plus years or so, and it appears that maintenance and upkeep is no longer a priority.

It’s a nice clean place to stay but the rooms have not had much of an update in a few years so it is not as nice as other choices. Always a good location.

It was clean quiet property. The staff was friendly and engaging.

Very clean and meal in the cafe was great. Only drawback is asking for a ground floor room if you can't take stairs.
