Beautiful property, wonderful staff, and an excellent stay in Utrecht.

Pent hotell i hjertet av Utrecht. Fikk rom i et av annexene og rommet var høyst ordinært tatt prisen i betraktning.

Na een heel vriendelijke ontvangst mochten we al vroeg naar onze kamer. Deze was prachtig en van alle gemakken voorzien. Tip: Na een lange shopdag genieten van de heerlijke wellness en ook voorafgaand aan een dagje stad hebben we hiervan genoten.

We had a great couple of nights at the Karel V hotel. The room and bathroon were specious and the seperate WC had a basin in it - really welcome but quite rare. It was equipped to the standard I expectt from a 5* hotel and housekeeping kept it that way. All the staff were absolutely brilliant - incredibly helpful and friendly - the reception team in particular (thanks Jet!) giving us recommendations and suggestions and nothing was too much trouble. We didn't eat dinner in the hotel (book in advance to secure a table) but there are so many great restaurants within a few minutes walk that wasn't an issue. The breakfast was of the usual high standard (with crispy bacn - another rare thing!) and again nothing was too much trouble. Finally, like its service and accomodation, the location this hotel is unbeatable with ample parking (paid) and EV chargers. We fell in love with Utrecht and hope to return again next year and we will certainly stay at the Grand Hotel Karel V

Room was too hot

I’m a hotel fanatic and The Grand Hotel Karel V didn’t disappoint! The breakfast was absolutely stunning, and well curated with local farmers/ vendors. We mostly connected with the Brassier staff and they were absolutely AMAZING. We really would like to point out Norman. He was outstanding and very knowledgeable. He made our evening and stay 10x better with his presence.

Beautiful, peaceful hotel, in a lovely area, very close to the centre. Friendly staff, wonderful breakfast, very comfortable rooms.

Staff was excellent - super helpful, cheerful and efficient. we enjoyed the outdoor dining.

Very good hotel in a very central location with good restaurants on site. Only point of feedback - we arrived to attend our daughter's graduation in the morning and were not given access to our room and had to freshen up and change in the toilets... some flexibility would have been appeeciated

The hotel is beautiful with well-kept grounds. A luxurious and historic place to stay in Utrecht.

In het kort; we hebben er alleen geslapen, cocktail gedronken en ontbeten. De kamer was netjes, de bedden sliepen goed. De minibar-items beetje over de top geprijsd. We gaan zeker tzt een keer terugkomen.
