Very good hotel in a very central location with good restaurants on site. Only point of feedback - we arrived to attend our daughter's graduation in the morning and were not given access to our room and had to freshen up and change in the toilets... some flexibility would have been appeeciated

The hotel is beautiful with well-kept grounds. A luxurious and historic place to stay in Utrecht.

In het kort; we hebben er alleen geslapen, cocktail gedronken en ontbeten. De kamer was netjes, de bedden sliepen goed. De minibar-items beetje over de top geprijsd. We gaan zeker tzt een keer terugkomen.

We stayed for 4 nights in this excellent hotel and took the room upgrade offered by the desk at check-in at minimal additional cost. This gave us a large room overlooking the courtyard with an excellent bathroom with separate bath and walk in shower. There was a separate loo off the entrance corridor. It was almost like a suite and benefitted from having two doors between the bedroom and the main hallway. It was very well furnished had generous stowage and space for luggage, that meant it was neat and uncluttered with everything squared away. The beds were very comfortable. Above all it was quiet. We never heard a thing and slept very well. The hotel is beautifully decorated in an understated style but showcases its historic features. Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, King Henry VIII of England and King Francis I of France all met here in 1546 (when it was a monastery not an hotel). It is situated in secluded, well-maintained gardens. There are two restaurants, a bar and a very well appointed spa. The staff were charming and helpful and all spoke good English - which is pretty much normal in the Netherlands anyway. We ate in the Brasserie and the food was first class. As it is well-placed in the town centre, other dining options were available only minutes away. All were of a good standard.

Grosses, sauberes Zimmer. Tolles Frühstück. Freundliches Personal. Sehr gut gelegen, nahe bei der Innenstadt.

Balcony view was lovely. Room very comfortable. Staff wonderful. The manager of housekeeping very kind to bring me more creamers.

Nice grounds but dated interior. Some of the most uncomfortable beds and pillows I’ve ever experienced

Nice clean room and well shaped garden, but unfortunately outside of the hotel sometimes noisy and woke me up at night.

lovely historic setting upgraded with all the modern conveniences - in a great location for walking

Hotel was stunning and only a minute or two walk to the nearest cafes and bars. Very helpful amd friendly staff. Would recommend the rooms with balcony and canal view, very spacious and very comfy bed and pillows. Will definitely return.
