We only stayed one night, did not really use the facilities,beds fairly comfy but could do with better pillow as very lumpy.

Our sleep was affected due to a group of other guests making noise during the night. Also the mattress on our bed was really hard so not very comfortable. Other than these issues the hotel is good for a short stop, staff are friendly, it’s next to motorway services so you can get food from outlets.

Handy location just off the M6 at the services

The staff were friendly and the room was adequate for our needs but we had a west facing room on an very hot day and when we arrived in the room at around 1830 the temperature was unbearably hot and we had to have a cold shower and head out straight away. There was no air con in the room. I am sure the room would be fine for 320 days a year and we were just unlucky with the weather in terms of what it did to the temperature in the room.

Great stay

The hotel is ok for a night stop with kind staff and plenty of parking. However, it is much more tired than you expect from the website pictures; the corridor carpets could di with a good clean, the bathroom had a basic clean but it wasn’t great and the room was quite hot with a fan as main way of cooling. It is not bad for the price but a little dissapointing based in the website pictures and reviews.

Good location for an overnight stay to break up our journey to the south-east. Very basic but fine for the price.

If you stay there in the Summer, make sure you book on the ground floor, even with temperature below 20c outside, the upstairs rooms were just under 30c with a small opening window & no A/C very difficult to sleep in

We were only stopping a night, just passing through but I wouldn’t stay here again. I was on crutches, the able bodied couple in front of us managed to get a ground floor room but I had to climb up two flights of stairs to reach our room. It was not clear when booking there wasn’t a lift. I struggled up to our room but the heat upstairs was stifling. A fan was provided but the window closed so it was just blowing hot air around. It wasn’t even that hot outside, maybe 20-22C but must have been at least 30C in the room. We tried to open the window but it had the shortest safety cable I’ve ever seen, so only managed to open it about 10cm. Room was clean but tired. My husband went back down to ask for a ground floor room but we were told they were fully booked. They did gave us a second fan but wasn’t a huge help. Terrible night sleep. Awake every hour on the hour and a raging headache due to the heat. We left early to get on the road.

No lift. Rooms were red hot. Car parking fee of £5 if not booked direct. Breakfast was nice. Could do with an overhaul TBH.

Waited a long time for staff to check in about 10.45 at night. Had to pay an extra £5 to park the car for the night - this should be included in the hotel price. Room was on the 1st floor but there is no lift. Got to the room to find it very, very hot - 40 degrees C ? The window was shut despite the very hot weather. There was a fan though which helped but no air conditioning. There was no glass in my room either and the curtains not very thick.

The Ramada at Charnock Richard was surprisingly good. The room was fine, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and meals in the dining area were good. And it wasn't expensive by today's standards. Really this is as good as it gets in budget accommodation.

convenient location, excellent stay

Our room was spacious, spotless light airy, had a really nice stay.

Very difficult to get to post code took us 18 miles away from hotel. Also claims to be Chorley South but is on northbound of motorway. Not a good experience

Good room and bed, nice shower with a good quality shower gel. Breakfast excellent, and well laid out and executed. One massive gripe... paying for parking!! was not mentioned on Hotels.com, and was told if i book direct it would be waived. TBH i think this is awful, and i more than likely would have not booked as there were cheaper overall hotels in the area. Just waive all parking ..... and then very clear.

Everything was fine, the only thing to be aware of is they will charge you to park your car, apart from that everything was absolutely fine, hotel very clean and the staff very friendly and polite.
