I had booked 5 rooms for my team for a tournament up in Kamloops about a month or so before, maybe earlier.
I all of a sudden get a call on the Monday of the week we leave ( for the September long weekend ) saying that they had to cancel all the rooms except one due to a flood in the rooms.
I show up Thursday for check-in for our one room and ask the front desk how repairs are going, and she had no idea what I was talking about.
Soon to be found out later, that the rooms were all sold out and there were no rooms damaged.
This put 6 of my players out of accommodation days before a long weekend.
I will be escalating this for sure.
