Great location

Check in was quick and easy. Dinner was good. Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked. Staff was very friendly. We were stayed just for one night. Was really bonus that we were allowed to.leave our car in hotel car park until before 2 pm after we checked out, so we can hikes to Stickle Tarn. Great location definitely recomended.

Great as usual! We’ve been here several times but met a member of staff we had never met before. A lovely lady. So friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Food was great. We love it here.

Brilliant, cosy inn with restaurant, and great rooms and Teapigs in the rooms… beats a cheap coffee sachet. The staff were really friendly, and my daughter and I loved our stay for two days climbing in the Lakes. The breakfasts are superb too.

We really enjoyed our 2 view room and the log fires. We stayed in January and enjoyed the area being quite than later in the year.

Lovely warm and friendly hotel. Perfectly placed for walking in the central fells. We will return.

Fantastic couple of nights, lovely double aspect room, the whole place lovely and warm with log fires, very friendly helpful staff, and great food.

Overall excellent. Staff top class. Rooms nice and clean and nicely warm Location spectacular Food and wines good Quality Hotel due need a bit of updating but that didn’t detract from a good stay. I would return

A fine 3 night stay. Good breakfasts and dinners. A comfortable room, very clean with a nice view. Lots of walks nearby.

The hotel is in a great location . The weekend was marred by the water supply being broken and affected the facilities over two days . The staff did their best to apologise but no compensation was offered .

Warm, comfortable, decent food, stunning views, great service - everything was easy, nothing was a problem. Great choice in Langdale.

Clearly shortage of staff but the lady waiting on at breakfast and then check out did the very best she could 😀

The staff at the hotel where exceptional

Obviously a very busy place for both lodging & food, The staff went over & above to make sure we were fed, okay It had taken a little longer than expected but the wait is worth it. The Hotel was impeccably clean & the room was comfortable and well laid out, the cleaners there do probably the best job I have seen to date (well done!) I would definitely stay again so my advise to anyone reading is don't hesitate it's a great place!
