Room 18 was a bit on the small side but comfortable. The shower has a very narrow opening so you need to be quite skinny to get in and out. I performed unintended yoga doing so. The location and setting are excellent and the staff were very welcoming and efficient. I went to see a show at The Pictured romeo and it is literally crawling distance from the venue.

Bar is open until midnight, provided the customers are quiet then it’s not a problem, unfortunately a few were a little noisy leaving around 12.30am

Room was cosy size but fine for one person. Weather was hot so I was glad of the fan provided. I had to close the window as unfortunately there was a lot of noise from the Tavern behind going on till 1am at least. Breakfast was excellent. Fresh fruit. Beautifully cooked English breakfast. I specially liked having a pot of coffee to linger over.

Given the price we paid, I expected more. It says parking, but that is hit and miss, with parking permits issued, but several cars in the car park without them and therefore difficulty finding a space. The room although quite well presented was very small, more of the size I would have expected for a single room, not double. It was hot weather I know, but even with a fan running all the time, the temperature was unbearable and the window had restricted opening. The hot water temperature needs looking at before someone scalds themselves, because the mixer tap on the sink went from boiling to cold with no medium possible. Then the breakfast, I felt sorry for the staff, as there were only 2 and they just couldn’t cope with the volume of people for breakfast, so when it says breakfast 8am til 10am, expect to be there that long if you want anything off the hot menu. The food at breakfast was however good quality, but basically spoiled by the wait caused by under staffing. We won’t be using this hotel again.

This was our 4 time at The Bridge as we love its proximity to the Picturedrome. The food and drink are a little pricey but excellent quality. Unfortunately the room we had was at the rear of the property and it was unbearably hot all night even with the fan on the bedside drawers.Obviously the owners cannot control the weather but aircon would have been a blessing. The toilet bowl was situated almost touching the wall which meant riding side saddle whilst using it !. We will definitely return but will be requesting a forward facing room .

Great hotel in a fabulous central location. Room was very small and a noisy (with windows open), but this didn't detract from the overall stay. Food in the restarant was tasty, but if you didn't want to eat at the hotel there are plenty of places to eat. Would definitely stay here again

We had a lovely double room with a superb balcony, ALL the staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming, a real credit to the hotel and a good choice of breakfast included, top marks, will be paying a return visit later in the year.

Lovely pub hotel in the centre of Holmfirth, stayed here a few times every stay being excellent, nice breakfast as well

Well located in the centre of Holmfirth. Bedrooms have been nicely refurbished and spotless. Staff are really helpful, friendly and efficient. I would stay again.

Excellent full English breakfast. Tea and coffee. A good selection of cereals, yogurt, fruit etc. super clean rooms. Fresh towels, comfy beds.

Room was really clean and very cosy. Staff were all amazing and very friendly and helpful. Food was always amazing and some great cocktails. Would highly recommend
