There was a mouse in my room. When I told the man at the front desk, he indicated that he would provide a refund but when he realized it was through Expedia, he said he did not know how to do that. I was advised I would be contacted. I was never contacted and no refund was issued. Expedia advised me that The Commons refused a refund and that I had been offered an alternative. I had not been offered an alternative, in fact, as I mentioned, I had been offered a refund.

The bathroom door in our room didn't close. It wasn't like the pictures at all, very sketchy

Nice location, there’s a pub next door and a few cafes along the street. Walking distance to citadel. Room was clean but we did found a mouse on our last night. There’s no hair dyer in the washroom. They also don’t recommend drinking the tap water but no drinking water is provided, you have to buy bottled water from them. Fire station is along the street so if you’re sensitive to the noise just keep that in mind

The place was run down the bathroom sink was clogged and slow draining, the bathtub is so high and unsafe that you slip trying to get in and the tv worked but had no working channels, I will never come back here again and it was not worth $186.

I stayed there several weeks back , staff was great room was clean , unfortunately when I got home and unpacked my bag of snacks , a mouse had eaten threw them , I've left several emails but haven't heard anything back

Decent value for the money. No elevator in a four story hotel. Lobby and rooms were clean and bright, even if dated. On street parking at no charge. Helpful staff.

Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms could use better cleaning. Location is good for food. Can walk to the harder in 20 to 30 mins

we drove in from Montreal and arrived almost closer to midnight. The room that I thought I booked was big and had a bath, and however, it was up of flights upstairs, and we just were too tired and could not carry our baggage of the stairs therefore we ask for a ground for a room. The gentleman at the front desk was very kind welcoming and changed our room to our ground floor, however the room was extremely small dark. We couldn’t open the curtains because people would see into the room and the refrigerator made loud noises all night. There was rust on the shower door and the shower was extremely small. I could barely fit in it. When we asked to change rooms the next day, we were told no. The location is amazing great street with lots of nice cafés and close to downtown but they do need to fix up the place, especially that room.
