Pool which was the biggest reason we chose this hotel, has been broken more than 6 months, has Dept. Of Health sign on it. Tub faucet and shower head filthy and handle broken. Hall way hot. Weird smell. People just hanging out in front... felt unsafe.. stay away

Very nice breakfast, friendly staff.

The walk to our room it was dirty and musky smell. The room as soon as we opened the door it smelled of smoke and sewage. The toilet barely flushed.

Went for a sporting kc game. Perfect location for that. Literally across the street. Pool closed for renovation after I booked. Unfortunate. Pull out bed was gross. Stains.

The pool/slide and hot tub were both closed and it was not advertised as such. It is known for its pool and slide. The health department shut it down. I wouldn’t have booked here if I had known this.

The pool was closed and had an order from the health department closing it down. The entire place has a horrible hot sewage sulphur smell. We literally held our nose while we ran from the car to the elevator. Very old outdated 'technology', although I wouldn't even consider it technology. The breakfast was pretty good!

Pool wasn't working, fountain out front wasn't working, building had a smell of sewer gas,floors were dirty. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Overall a good stay. I am sensitive to strong smells and our room had a very strong “chemically clean” smell. I was able to open a window to air it out. The tile entryway and bathroom had a heavy, greasy film that was slippery like it had been mopped with too much cleaner and not properly rinsed. Biscuits were very hard at breakfast. Other than that, it was fine. Staff is very friendly.

The sewer gas smell was absolutely intolerable and when the elevator was not working, no sign was posted. We found out by hear people talk about it. The solution to the sewer smell was to spray a deodorizer. For having to pay over two hundred dollars s night, we should have been compensated with a discount. One more thing, they should vacuum the stairs more frequently. I very seldom comment but the sewer gas smell is totally unacceptable. Probably will not stay at another Best Western.

We were in area to shop and celebrate a birthday. Planned on using the nicely advertised pool and hot tub only to find out the pool has been closed for months. Had we known we would have stayed elsewhere. Elevator and halls had a strange smell. Tile floor in our room was sticky to walk on. Due to the previous comments we did not feel comfortable eating the complimentary breakfast.

Just a quick overnight stay. The room was nice and the staff were helpful. It’s a good location for shopping and for sporting KC.

It wasn’t a good stay from the air no working good in either room cause I had to move rooms. It was hit in the elevator. The first morning me and my family was awaken at 7am by the smoke detector beeping loud for no reason. Had to listen to it till I was moved to another room, after I had to call the front desk again. Although I was told the manager would call me when she got in at 7am, no call. Moved us to room 304, where the air was not working well I. That room sitting on 60 and the tv did not work I. That room.

Check in went good. When we arrived to our floor which was the 2nd floor, we noticed a very strong sulfur smell as soon as you got off the elevator. The smell continued into our room. After one night of dealing with this we asked to change rooms, which they nicely did and when we asked about the sulfur smell, they acted like they had no clue and would check into this. Once we got to our new room and floor, the 3rd floor the smell wasn’t as bad. Once we woke up the next morning, the sulfur smell was coming strong out of our bathroom and into our room. This continued during the length of our stay and other people were complaining also. And the pool does not work. That’s the 1st thing they tell you when you check in. Other than the horrible sulfur smell, the front desk was friendly and the breakfast was decent and hotel was in a convenient location.
