Best outdoor swimming pool (with views) in the country, for sure. But that's about it. No air con at all, so sleeping is out of the question during a heat wave. Literally slept naked under a wet towel with a fan on full blast next to the bed. Avoid the third floor - it gets hotter by about 3 degrees with each floor. Staff had zombie faces. No one smiled. Worse coffee you'll have (and small). No fridge in the room - essential in the summer. Parking is great though, free and easy. Breakfast is mediocre. But again, it's worth it for the pool.

Not good customer service

Staff are very helpful. Nothings too much trouble. The room was lovely and clean. Bedding too. Towels could be changed if needed. Good choice on the breakfast menu. The works or just plain and simple. Good selection of hot and cold drinks. The view is amazing from the front of the hotel. Even the room at the back the view wasn’t bad. This is the second time we have been. There will be another too!

Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was lovely with the sea views and the gardens in front. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Unfortunately the standard of cleanliness in my room was poor. It showed a lack of attention to detail: marks on the bedroom walls and bathroom door that would easily wipe off, the tap had something stuck on it when I arrived (again, easily removed), the lip of the bath panel clearly hadn't seen a cloth in some time, and the grout on the tiles could do with a scrub. There was even a biscuit on the floor under the desk and cobwebs on the ceiling. The room itself was a budget room and was actually larger than I expected, but had enough furniture to make it feel cramped (especially with a double bed in a single room). The bathroom contained a shower over bath which was wonderfully powerful, but no non-slip bath mat for within the bath, so getting in an out was a careful process. Adjusting the temperature via the two bath taps was also an old-school experience. I should also point out this room would be unsuitable for a shorter person if they wanted to close the blind - the cord was quite high and only just within my reach (I'm 5'6").

We really enjoyed the pool and terrace area. The breakfasts were a great start to the day and also a good evening menu and all the staff were very helpful. I would recommend this hotel highly.

Food & staff excellent. Cleanliness & hotel condition not what I would expect from a 4* hotel. Parking difficult at times.

Nice stay

The setting of this hotel is stunning. Check in was easy and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was spacious and adequately equipped. The bathroom looked a little tired but was large, clean and functional. Due to a large function taking place at the hotel, the bar was unattended when we arrived back in the evening. A quick visit to reception soon had a staff member arrive to take our order. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice, and the view looking out over the bay was an added bonus. Unfortunately, I did not take my swim wear but would definitely take advantage of the pools on a return visit.

Great view from the room, which was very clean & comfortable, nice linen and a really good bed. I had a very enjoyable but brief stay, thank you.

I was a little disappointed that the gym no longer exists. I went looking for the gym, passing through a rabbit warren of passages, until I saw a removable screen, I looked behind the screen, only to find small room full of broken equipment. Clearly it had been out of commission for a long while.

Great location overlooking the sea. Stay were polite and helpful. Some of the amenities were not open as it was the off-season but that did not affect our enjoyment.

Room is a bit tired and need ms an uplift to be 5 star Staff were helpful

The staff were absolutely brilliant, the room was lovely and clean. Theres a gym and a pool which unfortunately I was not able to use due to not having time.

Great stay, good size room, friendly staff

Adequate parking for my large Van, beautiful surroundings, very friendly staff on arrival at check in. The room was spacious and comfortable, very clean and all the usually amenities. The gym was good enough for a decent t work out and the pool was nice. The food in the restaurant was really nice and again the staff were very friendly and polite. The
