Staff very welcoming, room a little worn, signs of a water leak, toilet seat not secure. Bed clean and comfortable. Slept very well. Good breakfast with plenty of options.

Breakfast, car park and staff were all good. Room was big but in need of some TLC. Window rattling kept me awake most of the night

Stayed in Room 10, booked a room with two single beds, got one double. Shower in bath was terrible, water was trickling out, shower curtain was just balanced and kept falling off. TV was from the 2000s remote, hardly worked, very basic. Room itself was ok, good enough for what we wanted being a father and Son going to Download but I wouldn’t take my wife

Good rural pub, within easy reach of Nottingham. evening meal quality and value for money excellent and despite us not arriving until after 7pm dealt with efficiently and in plenty of time to be fed, bar staff very friendly and helpful, included breakfast good choice (only black pudding missing from full English) and freshly cooked to order, Will definitely be booking again for our next event at the Motorpoint Arena.

Appreciate that it's an old building, but it needs some TLC. Extremely hot water in the bathroom and tricky to turn taps fully off. Poor sleep due to the window rattling. Well cooked full English breakfast and ample parking.

Lovely pub with rooms just off the pub. Room and bathroom were spacious and bed was lovely a large and clean. Windows could do with a lick of paint but just a minor point. Staff were excellent and really helpful.

For the price(£68) it was great value. Easy to check in at bar, room was spacious & clean. Curtains kept room dark at night. Bed was comfy & firm. Bath & shower(over bath). Kettle & amenities. TV was fine although remote didn’t work with that TV. Breakfast was included which was glass of OJ, coffee/Tea. Full english(tasty) Free car park at rear. Quiet all through night. I also had dinner in pub. Homemade steak pie, mash, peas & Gravy was lovely. Brownie sundae was fantastic. Also had 3 pints of ale. All in cost around £35, bargain!!!

Breakfast was freshly cooked and generous. Full english, or any combination of those ingredients. Cereals are on offer but we didn't have those. Room 6, spacious and comfortable, some repairs needed in the ensuite, water lovely and hot.

Lovely over night stay as we were at party in the village . Room was comfy clean and warm . Bit tired but it is an old pub Breakfast was beautiful really tasty very welcome after a late night . Friendly staff thank you

Stayed for one night on a business trip. The Nelson offered good overnight accommodation at a reasonable price. Clean room and comfortable bed. Staff were very welcoming. Good evening meal at a reasonable price, breakfast was good, too. Would I stay again?~ Yes
