Rating & Review Keseluruhan Topaz Motel

The motel is in bad need of refurbishing and brought into the 21st century. Needed to get new room key each time as ours never worked. Walls had things broken and not replaced. Room door, outdoor light could be seen around it..not sealed. People sitting outside rooms with doors open yelling at each other.

The Hotel Topaz is the go to in Flagler. Great staff great location amd great price.

Beautiful view of Flagler beach

Was very disappointed with our stay. 1. Felt like a " rent-by-the-hour" kind of place. 2. Room did NOT match pictures online. 3. No TV. 4. Stains in bathtub. 5. Sliding door didn't work. 6. Bathroom door didn't close. 7. Bottom vanity had caved in from a previous leak and not bothered to be repaired. 8. There were at least No bedbugs and sheets were clean. 9. Dusty 10. Smelled like stale cigarettes! I was traveling with my sister there was not an option to switch rooms to a King size single bed!

Front desk clerk never greeted me. Made me feel like I was in the wrong place completely. After checking in he points to a door and says keep to the right and that was all. Found it very strange he didn’t warn us you have to walk thru the busy dining room for the attached restaurant to go upstairs. Room was very dusty and dirty and towels were not clean. Very weird experience. All that being said the old house was amazing with all the antiques and wall art. Pool was also nice and right across from the beach were definitely highlights.

I should start with that I am from Florida and our family has the ability to take long weekends at places throughout the state.I knew going in that it was an old hotel which we have done many times with mostly great results in tourist places. When we checked in they didn’t even want to see my ID which is odd then got my keys we could not get in the room. So the person on staff fiddled with the door and our key and we got in. Now here is the biggest problem for me photoshop would be jealous of what our room looked like compared to what we had. Room was clean but not as what was presented in the pictures. If I wanted to dwell on this disappointment rather than enjoy my trip I could probably have taken 20 plus pictures of what was wrong with the room. Slept well had a great time if you will let yourself overlook the landlord special.

Nothing really wrong with staying here, basically get what you paid for only for a day or two, but overall I give it a 7.0

Beach is across the street

If you are picky, this place isn’t for you. But we aren’t picky. No bugs, locks work, quiet, clean linen and beds. The room smelled damp and moldy when we went in. We left the doors open for a bit and it aired out well. Nothing fancy and it definitely needs up dated but it was $64 a night. What do you expect for that. The beach access is just across the street, no worries about parking or driving. A great (but pricey) restaurant attached to the office. The pool looked clean. 7 Eleven just a few blocks away, definitely walkable. Other restaurants and shops just a few blocks away. Dollar General is local too. Coffee and juice in the office at 7am. Tub drain is rusted but drained well. Other things could be spruced up but then it would cost more. For the price, it is well worth it.

Property location was good. Feel bad that so much renovation needs to be done. Was quiet. Short walk, about a block, across street to beach access.. v

Great view of the ocean, safe, easy walk to the beach. Definitely eat at the Flagler Fish Company that’s attached to the hotel.

its a beautiful place to stay with the beach right across the street. beautiful sunrise and sunsets. delicious food right nextdoor. staff is very kind. safe place with a beautiful pool

This is a property in disrepair. I had to change rooms because I got locked in my room on the second floor. Door would not open from the inside. Called from my cell phone because there’s no phone in the room and it went to voicemail. Luckily saw The manager walking outside. They gave me a different room, but this is an old property and needs significant repair and upgrades.

The property is run down. There's been to reinvesting in upkeep. Damaged walls, needs a new paint job. For the price, one could do better. The location is across the street from Flagler Beach. A big plus. We didn’t get the room shown in the pictures on Expedia's website.

this motel is definately a hidden jem. Its right across the street from ocean,very easy to get to. the rate was very affordable for the area and it has a very nice clean pool.The motel is in the process of some upgrades and they have a established restuarant on the property.the location is very quiet and the beaches aren't packed.Very walkable to the downtown area.Close to shopping,post office,salons ect.The employees were very helpful and accomodating.we will definately be back.

It was horrible. Not clean and it didn't smell good. The towells were dirty, there was holes in the sheets and the floor was not clean either. Never again.
