It’s about a 45 minute beautiful walk along the river or a 10-15 minute drive/taxi into Lewes. Lovely spot, thank you!

A very nice little pub. Comfy room. Good cooked breakfast with proper coffee and tea. Friendly and kind host.

Room was quite big but cold. Amenities ok. Breakfast was good but limited.

If you arrive after 4 pm on a sunday no kitchen.pub closed mon/tues..You need to know this before booking…

Lovely staff - so thoughtful and accommodating! I arrived early, coming immediately from a very long & tiring international flight. I was able to check in prior to the normal check in time and have a nice rest that afternoon. I was so grateful for that kind accommodation. I have some food, allergies and they were able to work within those restrictions, and provide delicious fresh flavorful meals. This is a small establishment and they provide very personalized thoughtful service. There are wonderful footpaths; you can easily walk to the nearby towns. It’s very pleasant to enjoy the countryside nearby.

Friendly and accommodating B&B. The room was toastie warm with a very comfortable bed and lovely white towels. Very clean! Already booked again and would highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet stay in this area

Pleasant stay with friends. Clean room, excellent linnen and towels. Only issue was being unable to turn radiators off. Will be back next year.

This pub had a good vibe to it. The host were friendly people. The breakfast was quality, the bedrooms was clean and fresh, and over looking picturesque views, We would definitely stay there again. Oh and theirs a bus stop opposite that goes into town £2 pp so no need to drive.

All very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, but a little early (8 -9am). Would be nice to have other options than just cooked breakfast, but was very nice.

Great food

The blacksmith arms is laid back and friendly , the bed was comfortable and the ensuite had a bath ( yippee ) Jazz was friendly , and I am sad I didn’t get to eat there or have a shot of his great rum selection ( I was attending a wedding ) parking is available , although I used public transport and understand there is a lovely walk into Lewes town along the river . BSA delivered just what was needed xx

Really great stay during a short walking trip to the South Downs. Lovely, comfortable room and en-suite bathroom, and the evening meal was absolutely fabulous! Big portions, tasty, and the Caribbean cuisine is exceptional. Great breakfast, as well, and lovely, friendly hosts. We’ll definitely be back.
