Is clean, friendly staff but rooms were very cold but would return xx

Great place to stay for 1-2 nights . Room was adequate for our stay , clean and tidy. Staff very polite and the all English breakfast was great value for money at just under £10, would certainly recommend.

Rather an old property we had a room on the first floor and had to get help to get all our bags upstairs. Breakfast was delicious

Room not clean, not cleaned all week even to empty bin. Restaurant shocking. Loose tap in bathroom, no power on the shower to the point sometimes it trickled. Last decorated in the sixties. Absolutely disgusted with the advert on hotels.com a false representation.

Stayed here as visiting an event in Melton Mowbray. Good location only a short walk in to town. We had room 35 which was a large sized room. Had quite a low ceiling though.

I stayed one night. The room was clean and well appointed, and the staff were polite and helpful. Parking was easy amd safely off the road. I enjoyed my stay, and would definitely book again if I am in the area.

Lovely garden and quiet

Check in was okay, strong smell of curry in the tiny reception area. The room was an executive room, it was spacious, clean and the bed was comfy. The whole place is in need of a total revamp and a touch of tlc. It’s an old property but I would say the decor is 80’s -90’s. There was paper peeling off in the bathroom, the tap on the sink was loose. It was just not worth 3* . We had breakfast, it was at best edible. We wouldn’t stay again if we were to visit the area.

Convenient one night stay. Room redecorated, with double glazed windows and comfy bed. Hotel is tired town centre old building.

Not bad

Good hotel that needs a bit of TLC. Did the job for one night in a location that I needed to be in.

Disppointed with the room as on booking it appeared to be on the ground floor, ideal for my husband who has mobility issues, but on arrival it was on the second floor up some steep stairs, not ideal. I had checked in on line as requested but when we got there the receptionist had no knowledge of this and we had to go through the whole proceedure again. Irritating. The shower was tiny and the whole place could do with some refurbishment. Not much choice for breakfast although what we got was beautifully cooked. On weekdays stops serving at 9am so no late mornings. Suggest talking to the hotel before booking.

Convenient for the town, clean and comfortable, just small irritations, broken window blinds,telly controller stuck together with glue and very fragile, too few usable plugs for phone charging

The service was excellent until one of the guests rudely interrupted my check process as he wanted the receptionist to take his dirty plate.

Good service including providing a meal in the evening on request and bar facilities being available.

The property is dated and in need of some refurbishment. The staff had only been in place for 3 days after a takeover(?) but were friendly and helpful as possible. The room was big and had a huge bathroom. The shower was not powerful and a towel ring would have been useful near the sink rather than us trailing water across the floor. However, all the above things taken into account, we would return there next year to see what had been done with the place.
