This is a perfect spot for a cycling trip. Just at the top of the Manifold cycle trail. Also on the national cycle network path across to Hartington. We did 2 lovely bike rides. Would recommend down the manifold traila dn back up through waterhouses and lunch at the black lion in butterton. Helpful staff clean room comfy bed good breakfast. Would stay again

Friendly welcome from staff, Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Very soft bed, which was wonderful. Tea/coffee facilities. Large shower/wet room. Lovely pub grub. Very popular with campers, walkers and cyclists.

Nice location. Mattress uncomfortable in room two and needs replacing.

Lovely staff in the adjacent barn conversion. Very spacious room with super king bed and lovley bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower. Had a great stay

Stayed for a night as part of a Supercar tour of Peak District. Couldn’t fault it…

Good location for walks. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Room was great. Towels were fluffy. Shower was always hot. Food was excellent but choice was too limited especially as the 2 mains I wanted were not available both nights we stayed.

Beautifully location. The inn has charm and character but the rooms need som updating. Good food.

If it wasn't for the location and the dinner, it would have been a poir choice. Breakfast was just adequate, and a let down from the meal the previous night, the room was small, poorly furnished and feeling tired.

The room was comfortable and well appointed, The breakfast was well cooked and tasty. No major problems with the visit.

The Manifold Inn was pretty much as was expected. Lovely location. Once reception was found (not immediately obvious coming from the car park), check in was quick. Room was simple and a little tired but the biggest issue for me was the unlined curtains which barely cut out any light. I would expect blackout blinds or curtains these days. There was also loud snoring coming from the room above which didn't aid restful sleep. I realise this isn't within the property's control and maybe I was unlucky with the other client nearby. The shower was good. The cooked breakfast was good and set me up for the day's walking!

Lovely room. Lovely staff and food was great. We really enjoyed our stay and the weather was stunning. Close to great cycle and walking trails.

this is a lovely old pub/hotel deep in the Derbyshire hills, really convenient for Bakewell/Castleton & Buxton touring. Lovely people, could not be more accommodating
