Rating & Review Keseluruhan Hotel Riu Palace Costa Rica - All Inclusive

Food was very good different options is always good , love the idea of the food option by the pool easy access, bed excellent pillows wise not so good , Staff very friendly n courteous! Pura vida !

This is a 3 star property per American standard however it is advertised as 4+ on Expedia. I had no specific complaints but overall property needs some renovation. The road leading to hotel is awful and had lot of potholes and rough patches. Food quality was overall good/above average as compared to rooms. There is no wildlife around hotel and also beach is a brown sand beach and not very picturesque. Pools are good though.

We loved this resort. The staff was friendly, the place was clean and the spa was great. You have to visit diamonte park as well!

We couldn't venture beyond the property on our own because the street beyond the resort has too many potholes. Even the cars had a hard time driving on the roads

I absolutely love Costa Rica Unfortunately the Riu wasn’t what we were hoping for. The staff was great. Very pleasant and apologetic. First there is a lingering smell of sewage that surrounded the property. Our room, the halls and walkways. The buffet food was such poor quality. Cold food, undercooked items. Breakfast was the only thing edible because we ate omelets everyday. The way you get to eat at the restaurants is ridiculous!! They have 4 restaurants that are on a first come first serve basis. It’s starts at 5:45pm each night. They can only serve 120 people each night. If you aren’t ready and waiting at 5:45 pm you will NOT get in!! It’s crazy!! They need another system. The alcoholic drinks are so weak. They taste like overly sweet juice. It was definitely disappointing.

The Hotel is so big that it gives you the opportunity to burn calories. Always clean, everywhere smells good. The only thing was the Wi-Fi, you have to log in again in different places (maybe because its location is between the mountains) & also the TV cable doesn’t work by 1:00 AM. Anyway, me & my Family enjoyed our stay. We also there was nobody to give us the welcome drink at the lobby when we got there. After all, Riu Palace Costa Rica is highly recommended.

Beautiful property. Rooms could use some updating but overall nothing to complain about. Staff, especially Josue at the coffee bar, was AMAZING. Good live music and fun entertainment.

Our stay was fill with fun and laughter. We had a great time. Staff is warm and welcoming. Food was tasty, include 5 different resturant to eat from. Aswsome bar service. We will definitely return to this hotel in the near future.

Loved everything. Only 2 issues. No water for almost 8 hours. Couldn’t even flush toilets. 2nd issue. There is no night life for the adults. No clubs at all. I was informed it’s being renovated but that didn’t help us. We ended up playing card games and heads up. The boat ride to coco beach was amazing. I loved the caves and the scenery

Pros: 1. The staff at the property was very nice and accommodating; 2. Drinks are good; 3. Nice show each night Cons: 1. Our room had roaches; 2. It's an all-inclusive property, but food is not available all day; 3. Food choices were very limited for vegans/vegetarians; 4. No english channels on the TV in the rooms; 5. Property is a bit dated; 6. If you enjoy the beach, this is not the property for you. We made the most of it, but all-in-all, this property was a disappointment. Even our tour of the rain forest wasn't as promised. We were told we would see coffee plantations, but that didn't happen. The rain forest is nice, though. Happy traveling!

The food is very rich and varied. The room had a lot of humidity but in general everything was fine.

Definitely one of the smaller resorts I’ve stayed at but it was very nice!! Some of the food was hit or miss for me but if you’re not picky you’ll be fine

The staff was really good. Very friendly and professional, spoke excellent English. Our family with mid to late teens felt very safe on the grounds. Lots of really fun amenities. The food was really good and had lots of varieties.

Very disappointed. The property needs repairs. We had to be moved to a different room because there was no AC. We had to fight with the front desk agent to get a new room. In
