Best air con ever ,great restaurant and great staff

The staff at the Earl of Doncaster went above & beyond to make our event the best possible experience, the staff were happy & smiling all the time, nothing was too much trouble, Sarah especially kept on top of everything, making sure we were happy with everything and helped us make the best night possible for us & our guests, she is a credit to your company, 5☆ treament all the way...the room was outstanding, it was very clean, beautifully presented, the kingsize bed was so comfortable and spacious, the breakfast was gorgeous, generous and very tasty, we were treated like royalty, Diane on reception was a delight, i cant praise your staff enough, even the young lady serving our hot buffet food in very warm weather had a big smile for everyone, Mike was also on the ball, very helpfull, funny and accommodating, the 1 thing that we didnt like was, later in the evening as it was so warm, we sat outside finishing our drinks, The doors were closed without our knowledge, my new husband & I decided to go up to bed and on entering the front of the hotel he walked straight into the glass door not realising it had been closed, with no warning sticker to be seen it just looked like a clear entrance way. But overall an excellent plac to stay.

This was an enjoyable stay in a beautiful hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was excellent, lovely and clean with a very large room. If I had any criticism, it would be a very minor one, where the towel holder and toilet roll holder was loose. But that’s taking nothing away from a lovely place to stay.

A good hotel in a great location. Parking was a little limited. The staff were lovely and the rooms were a good size with decent amenities.

I stay away a lot with my job and this is my favourite hotel, the staff make this stay very special and the food is very good breakfast is exceptional!

Good sized room, comfortable bed, although I couldn’t open the window the air conditioner was ready for using. The only downside was the bath/shower taps were loose.

A great hotel with lovely staff. A special mention to the night team who were full of personality and always had a smile. Decent parking and good rooms. We didn’t eat at the hotel but would definitely stay again.

Lovely old building and very nice breakfast

Hotel was stoplessly clean. Check in quick and easy. Room was spacious, and again spotlessly clean. Bed very comfortable and breakfast the next day was delicious Highly recommend 5 stars from me.

I stupidly asked Gemini " I want to surprise my daughter with a weekend away, the destination doesn't matter the highlight of the trip is the hotel" and The Earl of Doncaster came up, as one of the options on the train route selected The staff were lovely from the off, both front of house and bar staff, but it wasn't the experience I wanted. We stayed in room 215, in the right corner of the room had major water damage, wall paper and ceiling were brown. The bathroom was nice enough, wet room and everything looked clean. The ceiling maybe made of papier mache as you can hear every footstep from the rooms above Finally, the actual stay, 215 is above the function room, I had a 7 year old in tears as she couldnt get to sleep.as the noise was ridiculous, the volume was reduced around 11:45 but it could still be heard. I mentioned it on the way out when I was asked how my stay was, the reponse to my honest feedback "we cant control noisy guests" Anyway, I'd say fine as a base for the races if you're planning to make noise yourself, otherwise avoid.
