Regular visitors to Axel Maspalomas, and every year it’s as good as we remember! Brilliant staff at reception, the pool bar, and the cleaners. Always an absolute pleasure to visit. As ever well done Axel Team! We will be back soon.

I have stayed many times at Axel Beach and is always enjoyable. While you do pay a little more compared to other hotels nearby; the room are clean & spacious and the pool area is friendly and relaxed. The staff are very friendly, especially Javier in the Pool Bar. I would recommend Axel Beach to anyone within the LGBTQ community.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aber der Zustand des Hotels ist schlecht. Das Hotel ist renovierungsbedürftig, fast alles ist schäbig bzw kaputt.

Lovely hotel in good location. Nice pool area stuff super friendly. Kitchen hob needs replacing IT IS VERY OLD. Beds very comfortable, rooms big. Shame you need to pay for your washing up liquid free in all the other hotels, first water of water should be free. Lovely to have new coffee mashine in the room shame welcome capsule not free like in the other hotels.

All the staff were excellent. The property was lovley My stay was ruined by a Hen Party. They were extremely loud, drunk, and didn't care about the other guest's. I was dissapointed that Hen Partys were allowd.

Great hotel, mainly catering to LGBTQ+ travellers, but as they say, they are hetero friendly too. Breakfast is always excellent. A good sized pool with a jacuzzi on the side. Slightly let down by the hotel bar shutting at 18:00, but I guess it made sense with Yumbo just round the corner where all the nice bars are in Playa del Inglés. Would love to stay again.

It's a little dated but looked after and the staff are amazing.

Eenvoudige inrichting van de kamers. Saunaruimte zeer klein en gedateerd. Prima bar en zwembad/relaxruimte.

Der skal skiltes meget tydeligt at det er et hotel primært for homoseksuelle. Der var kun få par, resten var homoseksuelle mænd og enkelte homoseksuelle kvinder og enkelte transseksuelle. Det var lidt ubehageligt for et ældre ægtepar.

Great hotel. Very clean, staff is excellent. A little old but well kept and only adults. Perfect stay!

All guest are invited to chill and relaxe at Axel .. that is impossible to do with the Terrible DJ and noise he makes. Read the room ! My stay was extremely tiring and noisy all day .. please make it stop

Great place to stay and relax

This definitely did not meet expectations. The property was quite run down. Rooms need modernising. They felt a bit grubby. But good size! Limited spaces to go other than the pool. The safe wasn’t working. Also I felt the area was a little unexciting compared to other parts of Maspalomas.

You pay a premium for it being LGBT. Could do with an update. Rooms cleaned extremely well, but do come across as somewhat basic.

Hotellet er slitt, og virker veldig sparsommelig. I en leilighet for to personer(stue m. minikjøkken, soverom, bad) er det kun to gafler, to skjeer, to middagskniver, to vinglass, to drikkeglass, to kaffekopper osv. Kjøleskapet og kjøkkenbordet/spisebordet er fullt av flasker etc, med vann, alkohol, gotteri,osv. Alt må kjøpes, til en svært høy pris. Plass på bordet til å spise, evt. egen mat i kjøleskapet er redusert. Hotellet er slitent, fliser løse, fuger er falt ut på badet. Innredningen er sparsommelig, lite hyller i klesskap og ikke skapdører, plastikksofa, toalettet renner, svømmebassenget var uten vann de første dagene, manglet varmtvann en dag, var også ikke vann en natt (trenger ikke være hotellets feil) Betjeningen var hyggelig

Wir haben uns ganz wohl gefühlt.Es ist eine schöne Umgebung. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und alle waren sehr nett. Schade war es nur , dass der Pool gerade in Ordnung gebracht wurde, so das wir ihn nicht nutzen konnten.

On arrival, pool was a construction site with no prior notification from the hotel. The "beach cabins" shown in the photo were taped off. Construction workers were using hazardous chemicals that stank out the entire pool area.
