Great breakfast, clean property a short walk into the centre of town.

The staff is amazing. The room was clean and nice. They had parking on site which was great for my Ireland road trip. They had hair conditioner which is not available at most hotels. I would 100% recommend.

Our stay at Hillgrove Guesthouse was a relaxing and comfortable experience. While it is slightly removed from the central area, this location made it feel safe and peaceful, with the convenience of a Lidl grocery store across the street for picking up wine and snacks. The guesthouse itself is somewhat dated, though the bathroom had been recently renovated. Our room was clean and comfortable; the beds were very good, though the furniture could use updating. Check-in was easy and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Stephen, who was on nights when we returned, truly exemplified Irish hospitality; warm, welcoming and full of helpful tips on what to see and do in the area. The location is excellent, just under 1 km to the information centre on the harbour. After reading some reviews beforehand, we were apprehensive but our experience was great. Hillgrove Guesthouse offers a comfortable stay with a touch of true Irish hospitality.

Loved staying here. Simple, clean and easy walk access to the pubs and shops. The staff are great!

Parking was easy and safe. Convenient to town centre, it is about 10 mins walk to the pier

FROM THE INITIAL GREETING THROUGH THE END IF OUR STAY WE WERE TREATED JUST LIKE FAMILY, SO CONCERNED THAT WE WERE TAKEN CARE OF AND HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. THE ATMOSPHERE AND THE ENVIRONMENT FELT SO HOMEY, CIMFORTABLE AND TRADITIONAL. REALLY LOVED THIS PLACE AND WILL STAY AGAIN ON OUR NEXT

When we arrived it felt as if we were home again. The genuine welcome, the warm smile and the great conversation started at checkin. We were immediately familiarized with the area, personally shown to our room and shown the hotel features along the way. We only stayed one night but regretted we hadn’t booked for more. Steve our host was witty, kind, helpful and oh so representative of the well known Irish hospitality! The room was so clean, the bathroom so modern, nothing amiss with the stay at all. The breakfast was so good before we left. We will definitely go back again

Had a pleasant night and was very happy there was parking. It was very walkable to the action in town.

This establishment is recently renovated with great amenities. The staff was helpful and respectful. Breakfast was excellent. Definitely would stay there again
