Lovely place to stay, right in the hub of the town overlooking harbour. Many bars to choose from for food and breakfast. It is however not suitable for anyone who can’t do stairs, two flights upto reception but to anyone else it’s lovely place to stay and would return.

The staff were very communicative, welcoming, and helpful. The room was spacious for the price and, despite being in a busy area, the courtyard facing room was very quiet. Air conditioning worked very well. We enjoyed being located in the Vieux Port, close to restaurants and shops and the sights. Breakfast was fresh and filling for only 10 Euro. Delightful hotel!

Hotel très bien.. Accueil agréable. Chambre confortable avec équipements essentiels. Très bien situé pour visiter la ville. Seul bémol, le parking éloigné, à cause de la zone piétons-vélos.

It's above a restaurant in an original older building, so there are several flights of stairs to negotiate with no lifts/elevators (which didn't bother me in the slightest, although I was offered help with my luggage which I didn't need). I chose a room with a fantastic view over the port, and even though the area was busy with many restaurants etc, the two sets of double-glazed windows meant that the room was quiet when closed. The breakfast I ordered in my room arrived on the dot of 10.00 as requested and was excellent - the croissant and pain au chocolat were beautifully light and crisp - the best I have had; the other items were equally good, and having it overlooking the port with the windows open was a real bonus. I should also say that I had a problem with the timing of my taxi to the airport which was to arrive during the time when the reception is not open (12.00 - 15.00), as I had left my luggage after check-out and they went out of their way to accommodate me, which I may say is indicative of their genuine friendliness. When I return to La Rochelle in the future, I will certainly be staying in this hotel!

We were right on the old port with many dining options. A fun area! The staff was excellent - professional and friendly. We had breakfast delivered to our room. It was excellent.

Pretty room overlooking the harbour . Staff v helpful. Not ideal if you can’t carry luggage upstairs although reception helped with that too

The gen Z scolding at check-in could not distract from the quality of the hotel and location.

Great spot if you want to be part of the vibrant culture in La Rochelle. Staff are welcoming and offer to help in any way they can. Would book a third time for sure.

Great location, especially when you have a view overlooking the water. Little loud at times from the busy streets, but overall a great place to stay. Stayed here before and will do it again when we return.

Zone inaccessible en voiture, sans dépose de bagages possible, parking sous-terrain disponible à 10mn de marche avec les bagages, un grand escalier étroit à monter pour rejoindre la réception : il faut donc être en bonne santé. Le plus bien sûr est que l'on est face au port, avec tous les restaurants, dans un cadre idyllique.
