Last time I’m booking through Expedia. This hotel is not worth $968 for two nights. In town for a youth basketball tournament. Will not be recommending or using Expedia again.

Clean room and very good staff!

We stayed one night in a King Premium room. We asked during booking for a ground floor and the staff happily accommodated. At check-in, the staff were super friendly. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities (refrigerator, microwave, and even shower mats). We could even park outside the room and have access via the patio doors. The sofa bed was great and comfortable, as was the desk chair. You could tell that these are older rooms but they are kept in great shape. The breakfast was fantastic and had all that one would want. We will most likely use this hotel as our hotel of choice the next time we are staying in Barrie.

In addition to BROWN water in bathrooms, it seems that they have a ventilation problem: 1. When we entered the hotel, it smelled horribly like fish, which may be due due diff reason, but the smell was there for hours . 2. In the morning, I woke up with kitchen smells (not that bad, but still dont expect this as a feature)

Honest opinion, hopefully will help management to improve and warn the guests in case its not improved: **** Apparently its a known issue that Berrie's water pipes are not the best, half of the rooms have literally BROWN water coming out from the shower and the faucet. ==> Suggestion to future guests: As soon as you enter the room, check the water in the bathroom !!!!!! It was very unpleasant surprise when we wanted to have a shower before bed after a tiring day and only after very long conversations, we were able to get a proper room with shower, which caused us to go to bed at midnight!!!! Everybody were frustrated and tired - literally ruined the whole experience. ==>Suggestion to management: Despite the fact that the front desk was nice and polite about it and its not their fault, as its a known issue, please make sure that before the room key is given, the room was actually inspected properly and it was done RECENTLY ! P.S: if no room would have found, the solutions we were suggested: 30$ credit or shower in a separate room, in my opinion , ITS NOT A SOLUTION! Thankfully, room with proper shower was found

Amazing stay! Amazing Breakfast! Amazing Staff! Robert went above and beyond for us, we will definitely be back soon.

Staff was very friendly. Pool was beyond frigid, basically unusable. Breakfast was decent, and the servers were very nice.

Room was clean but they lost my diabetes medication and are not reimbursing me for it.

Unfortunately there was kids running around the hotel. Terrible parenting. Security tried their best but the kids still all over knocking on doors.

Breakfast staff was very pleasant and helpful. Buffet breakfast was well stocked.

The room this time around was not very clean the bed sheets had dried up snot on them then the curtains had i have no idea what behind them looked like blood ? I always do a bed bug matress check and i wish i had not looked the matress needs a rely good cleaning that probly wont clean it .

Barrie Ontario is a snow town, and that's fine, but when you have a hotel in this town and you get alot of snow, then you should remove it...this hotel had massive snow piles that took up a 1/4 of their parking, their wasn't enough room for paying customers to park, they had to park in neighbouring companies and hope they didn't get a ticket.

Large, spacious room with kitchenette. Affordable cost, with breakfast included, and a small heated pool.

War and shallow pool great for kids. Great selection for breakfast

Very good, will stay again.

Adequate for a short stay

While the room is nothing fancy or modern, the comfort was top! Cleanliness is acceptable and what to expect from an older-style hotel. Breakfast was decent, and staff was amazing. Front Desk's Robert went above and beyond to accomodate my mistake, whoch he didn't have to, but chose to anyway.
