Location is fabulous & walkable to pretty much anywhere in the city - 3 minute walk to Bus Stop 4 located at Miðbakki (this is important if taking tours), 10 min walk to Bónus grocery store, close to pharmacy, shopping, convenience stores, museums, restaurants. Yet it's quiet!
We stayed in unit 303. Staff were welcoming, helpful, informative, friendly, efficient. There is an elevator. Entrances are secure so only guests can enter/leave.
Cleaning staff did a great job!
The kitchen is a must, especially if trying to remain on budget. Plenty of pots, pans, utensils, plates, etc. for meal prep. They have salt & pepper. We used our butter instead of buying oil.
If you need extra towels, Nespresso coffee pods, or other cleaning products, ask at the front desk. Safe worked well. Beds were comfy & perfect amount of "soft". Lighting in the bathroom wasn't the greatest but there was a good reading lamp in the bedroom if needed. They also have a magnifying fold out mirror in the bathroom.
The light and temperature controls were rather neat ... all electronically controlled by us.
The only down-ish sides:
- our balcony faced a black roof so no view to speak of but not a big deal because we didn't spend any time out there (cold!) and were out a lot of the time.
- parking was a tad pricey (but it was in a locked secure garage)
- I ended up splashing water everywhere as the shower only has a half door but great water pressure!
Thank you for a great stay!
