This is not a hotel for people that need hand holding. The location is PERFECT if you’re taking tours. The bus stop is literally in front of the hotel. There is no restaurant for lunch or dinner so one needs to walk about 10 minutes or so to find restaurants on the shopping street.

The Front Desk staff, especially Ivona, was absolutely perfect. They were professional and friendly and answered all the questions we could think of.

The room was airy feeling, stylish and modern. There was place to hang clothes, and a fridge. The reception were very professional and well mannered. You don't get manners like that everywhere and it is a refreshing change. The breakfast was wonderful. There was plenty of everything with waitresses refilling regularly. They even had a delicious chia seed pudding for those who are lactose free and gluten free. The coffee was awful though, and tasted like chlorine. They give guests undrinkable coffee then expect that you should pay for coffee made with a proper espresso machine, which in my book is not good enough. One thing we didn't like was that there was no door on the shower and no curtain, so the whole bathroom got wet when we showered...so you better not try to go to the toilet in socks in the middle of the night.

Breakfast was amazing. Rooms were bright and spotless. Short walk to the downtown area. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was great and near many attractions. The only downsides were that there was no restaurant (plenty within walking distance though) and only around 10 parking spaces for the whole hotel.

There was no early breakfast available. We were not aware of that when we booked it.So, we had to leave without breakfast.

We were pleasantly surprised by our choice in picking a hotel in Reykjavík! All the staff we interacted with were polite, competent, and efficient. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty! I’d definitely recommend the Storm Hotel, and would stay there again.

They have an excellent breakfast - the variety of food was good, coffee was good, and the fruit and baked items were fresh. Room was clean and the shower was large and clean. Walking distance to downtown, many restaurants, bars, and shopping.

Nice beds!!

The room was fine aside from only having a tiny window with no view. Also a microwave and mini fridge would be nice. None in the lobby either. I asked the staff because I need to heat up some food and I was not given any option. I also had some medication that needed to be stored in a fridge. They did store that for me. The location is not great. The area is surrounded by large commercial buildings looks like a financial district. The main tourist strip is a 20 min walk.

Very nice hotel in the best location. It was walking distance to coastline and Main Street. The front desk staff was welcoming. The room was comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Thank you.

We were there for only two nights visiting family. This was our first time staying at a Kea hotel. We found it clean, modern, and in a good location. The continental style breakfast was good and had a nice selection of items. They do have parking, but it is extremely limited and I wouldn't rely on getting a spot. You can pay for parking on the street from 9am to 9pm. We definitely would stay there again the next time we are in Reykjavik.
