Staff were extremely friendly & loved staying there. Everything was wonderful.

Great old building with wonderful updated rooms. The room are huge and comfortable. Totally recommend the hotel!! Burnie as a great town as well.

Staff were very helpful especially as a ‘late check-in’. Room was huge and clean. Only tricky bit was that reception location was not obvious.

The manager arranged assistance with bags, which was helpful. The place was roomy. A good stay. Better blinds to reduce morning light would be the only improvement suggestion.

Clean, good amenities but showing it’s age a bit

The room was huge with all the amenities you could need. Comfortable bed and in the heart of Burnie. There is no lift so carrying bags up multiple flights of stairs was a pain.

Easy check-in process, despite arriving close to midnight. Clear instructions provided on how to use lockbox. I forgot to check where we could park - there is free parking. But it was all sorted next morning with no dramas. The room is very spacious. The bathroom is large. Toiletries are provided. There is no air con due to the heritage listing of the property, but fans and heaters are provided. Well stocked mini bar (pay per item) and continental breakfast provided. We didn't utilise it, but they have a chargeback arrangement with a number of eateries in the area - the cafe and bar on the ground level were not operational at the time of our visit. Very central location. Couple minutes walk to waterfront. 10- 15 min walk to penguin centre - free. The Chapel is on the same block and has excellent coffee and breakfast options - not open on Sunday.
