Peace and quiet and very comfortable bef

Colin is an excellent host. The rooms are clean and the bed comfy. A delight to stay in such characterful accommodation on our trip.

The room was huge, as it is a former dormitory. It has a full kitchen and bathroom. It is furnished with older furniture to suit the building, but is well maintained and comfortable. A great, somewhat quirky, experience.

Very large space, a step back in time that was nice.

Very unique property. Was like staying at grandma’s. Very old school, but had everything you need. Plenty of heating, very clean, a cosy bed, Foxtel and they leave you a breakfast to cook for yourself in the fridge.

Lovely old world charm with spacious and comfortable rooms

Quaint and charming, Authentic period features and location, you can see the history in the building and area. aircon/gas fire/Electric Blankets are provided and are essential for the cold months of the year (July) in Parkes.

Property was very clean and is certainly “a step back in time” as it was built in 1910.

We liked the old world charm, the hospitality of Colin the host, all the utensils and appliances provided, the comfortable furniture and decor, the big desk, the fireplace and the location was quiet but close to the centre of town.

The ground floor Music Room is very comfortable and well-equipped. We especially appreciated the access to a laundry and drying facilities.

I loved the uniqueness of the property and apartment. It was very cosy and made me feel very much like I was on a vacation! Additionally, the bed was very comfortable, space to spread out was fantastic, and the kitchen and breakfast was everything we needed!

Beautifully presented historic property in the heart of Parkes. Being pet friendly our dogs got to enjoy it too.

We had 1 night here. Although old-style accommodation, it was excellent, with a lot of character and charm. We were in the "Music Room", which was enormous (really a whole apartment). The bed was very comfortable. Everything we needed was there. The outdoor seating areas were good, although it was a bit too hot for us to use them much. The breakfast supplies were very generous. Located within few minutes' walk of the main street. Would definitely recommend as an alternative to a standard motel room.
