The look of the dorms is terrible. They need major improvements since decades but nothing changed. Mattress are very poor quality, slacked linen fleeping from the mattress, no appropriate large enough lockers in the dorms, no sound proof, no privacy curtains for every beds in the dorms despite several requests for that, but unfortunately, the manager prefer to keep this as it is... ! The only thing saving that hostel is the breakfast.

We stayed in the 3 bed, basement suite-style room. It was spacious, clean and quaint. Certainly would recommend if you’re looking for a family-friendly or group-style-suite in the downtown area!

I had a great stay, staff was really nice, there was a washer available that you needed change for, everything was clean and I liked the breakfast

Il n'y avait aucun chauffage dans la chambre, c'était très froid, c'était sous zéro la nuit et on a gelé dans la chambre toute la nuit. Totalement inacceptable. Et la réception était fermée toute la nuit.

The dorm was great, and the staff was helpful. The breakfast in the morning was a pleasant surprise. The only thing is since it is downtown finding parking was hard especially if you're in Montreal for first time and don't speak french

Staff was very nice with easy check in. Guest were also very nice and welcoming. The room and bathrooms were all kept very clean. Nice location

I booked this room just a couple hours before checking in as I had a change of travel plans. Upon arriving the property seemed promising. I booked a private bedroom with a shared bathroom. But when I was directed to my room it felt like a maze to find it on the 4th floor. Previous floors had a secondary staircase for emergency fire exits, while the 4th floor only had one narrow staircase with no secondary fire exit. I’m not sure if that’s a fire code violation in Montreal or not but it made me feel anxious, claustrophobic, and unsafe. I spoke to the front desk about it and they showed me another room on the floor bellow, which was the floor with an emergency exit. I said yes to this room and only after was told it would be an extra $100 for that room. I was really not pleased with that so I asked if they could just cancel my reservation, especially since I had only booked it a couple of hours before, and I would relocate somewhere else. The staff said they could cancel it but I would be charged a fee of basically the cost of my night. I really wasn’t impressed with how this was dealt with. It was a nice enough place and in a good area and if on the floors bellow 4 I would say it’s a good deal. But my experience won’t have me returning.

Le personnel est sympathique. Le petit déjeuner c’était compliqué car trop de monde. Ouvert de 8h a 10h. C’est mal organisé car tous le monde arrive en même temps et il n’y a plus de place pour manger. On se retrouve debout. La chambre était propre, avec le linge fournis (serviettes et drap) Très bien situé, proche de pleins de commerces. Le métro est pas loin.
